I hope so Raj!
So for anyone interested, here is Steve's write up on my brake situation, which ended up in front disks and pads being replaced to cure the steering vibration I was getting when braking at higher speeds: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...4#post18240504 And My LCI rear lights also got fitted, finally! More pictures when I get a chance but here is Steve's shot from A1:

Really glad to hear that you got the vibration issue sorted man, and quite easily luckily! Steve is always super helpful.
And wow, the LCI rears worked their magic again it seems, the back-end is looking sweeeeeet

So here are a few hot off the phone pics of the LED lights fitted! Hoping to get some good ones this weekend. So pleased they're finally in after weeks of sitting around in my shed!

As many of you know, while I absolutely love my 335d, I've always been frustrated by the lack of a decent engine note. I explored options but nothing would give me what I really wanted - the sound of a petrol straight-6
The E30 is a car which I'd always admired. However I'd never really considered the option of a second car, mainly because of the practicality of it and not having a garage, but recently an opportunity came up to buy an immaculate E30 for a great price. The car is 25 years old and has had an engine conversion, now sporting a 2.8L E36 m52b28 engine, mated to a 318iS short ratio gearbox and diff. It's set up as a fast road car, with Bilstein dampers all round, an OMP steering wheel and gorgeous Turbo RS vintage Recaros (though only one is fitted currently). All the work had been done to a very high standard by the previous owner. I went to see it, and realised that another one like this wouldn't turn up again soon. So I bought it We had the car up on my friend's ramp last week and we couldn't believe how clean it is. Other than a bit of rust on the scuttle panel which needs to be sorted, the car wants for nothing. Few little cosmetic bits to be sorted, as you would expect on a 25 year old car, but absolutely nothing major. The guys couldn't believe it! Part of me is disappointed that the E92 isn't finished, because there was so much more to do to complete the original vision. However I'm going to leave it as it is for the time being: it's a lovely, comfortable, fast road car and I still love driving it every day and still always look back after getting out. And I'll use the E30 for those little blasts around country roads and when popping into town when it's not worth firing up the D. I can't really do two cars at once, so it seems like the logical solution! Here are a few photos of my new beast I will of course continue to update this thread with progress on the D, as little bits are still going to be happening, but I might also post little bits from the E30 project when they happen too

Thanks!
Thanks Mob, and thanks for the comment about the spoiler too - the majority of people seem to violently hate it! Personally my favourite spoiler is the high-kick version, but my second best is this one; I prefer it to the M3 lip which I find a little on the small side, but that's just my opinion

These are lovely Seb thing is you've gotta look, look real hard for corrosion especially behind those side skirts where dirt lodges in and around the seals as they are common and a quick look under for a good few minutes doesn't always show these things up, plus boot floor lift the mat look towards the near/offside of the floor around the rear turret area for again corrosion.
Funnily enough we've got one coming in on Thursday for a post purchase inspection a D reg 325i guy who's buying has already been bitten once re the old tin worm. |
