Right off the bat i'd go with an exhaust and intake.. thats what i'm running on my 07 335.
Next step is the JB3 chip!

I did most of my cosmetics first. The car is already fast stock and while you're getting used to the speed, concentrate on exterior mods. By the time you finish those, you go with intake, exhaust, etc. At least that's my logic....

But do a LOT of searching and reading in the turbo/cosmetics/suspension sections on what to go with. There are a ton of options and starting threads with these basic questions in here get annoying because there are SO many threads already with all the info you could want on every subject of modding....so if you have a question, make sure it's something you can't get the answer by searching first...

Welcome to the forum.

All your questions about mods can be answered if you search in the "Turbo / FI Engine and 335i -335d Tuning / Drivetrain / Exhaust Modifications" threads in the technical forums.

There, you'll find a sticky which lists all the different mods for your car. It's just a matter of picking ones that fit your budget.
Good luck.

X2 - did cosmetic stuff while still getting used to the speed and once I got used to it still wasn't done with cosmetic stuff so I through in a JB+ to hold me over...now I only have a few more things to do cosmetically and my car still shuts me up when I press the pedal to the carpet

Start searching and reading and educating yourself about your car and what there is out there for it and then post specific questions once you've narrowed stuff down? The "what is your favorite mod" question could get answers ranging from a new shift knob to meth injection

I would do chip and intake before I did exhaust and intake. The chip will make the biggest difference in performance and is more cost effective when compared to exhaust. But like all the others have said, find a nice pair of wheels or other cosmetic parts first while you get used to the current engine. It should be plenty fast for you for a few months at least.
