Question N52 cooling fan not working

Back in July my battery died. In the process of jumping or charging it prior to replacing the battery, my LCM/FRM3 bricked.

Installed and registered a new battery. Sent LCM to Alex@AlpineMSS and he flashed it for me. Loaded up INPA coded LCM, good as new.

At some point my cooling fan also stopped working.

The car is throwing a 2EFE error code for the DME module.

Diagnosing effort so far...
  1. Tried activating it manually in INPA, but no luck.
  2. Checked cooling fan fuse (#88), looks fine.
  3. Checked relay in the e-box and in glove compartment.
  4. Jump wired the coolant temperature sensor...nothing.
  5. Plugged in used fan from junk yard, tried INPA activation again...nothing. The auto recycler guarantees their parts, so it's hard to imagine theirs is dead as well.

I'm going to plug my multimeter leads into the cooling fan connector, and see if I get a 12v reading by trying INPA activation again.

Remaining guesses are: DME cannot send signal to fan, a wire has shorted out, or there's a mystery fuse that I do not know about.

Check all of your ground points. I was having nearly the same issues, and discovered my fan ground wasn't properly bolted to the chassis.

Try that first before anything else.
