M-Sport vs. OEM Aero Lip in Jet Black (PICS INSIDE)
Guys I was always convinced with the OEM Aero Lip...
But after second thoughts and seeing some Jet Black cars equipped with the M-Sport kit, I really started to like the M-tech front bumper!! So forgetting about the price, if you had the chance to install either the OEM Aero Lip or the M-Tech front bumper (with optional Carbon Fiber Splitters), which one would you go for?! You're talking about HUGE differences in price point. You could buy 3 OEM aero lips for the price of 1 bumper. If price isn't an issue, the M-Sport bumper is sick, but the OEM aero lip is still one of my favorite E92 mods...quick, relatively inexpensive and makes a huge difference

Mtech bumper, maybe without the cf splitters. Although you might pull it off with black.

$$$ not an issue, I'd go Mtech full bumper all the way. I do think the aero lip gives the front a little more aggressive look than the Mtech, but the Mtech overall looks better to me.

Mtech looks a bit naked without a lip. If no good lip options come out for the Mtech, I would go aero lip. The vorsteiner splitters look pretty good but they are $$$$.

+1 the aero lip looks more aggressive because the lines from the hood flow right down to the lip. The MSport by itself gives the car a more 'round' and less aggressive look.
However, with splitters the Msport looks better: This is how it's done. Looks even more aggressive and better than a stock E92 M3. Last edited by samchoi604; 01-24-2010 at 06:25 PM.. |

Guys thanks a lot for your ideas and votes
samchoi604 thanks for your suggestion! You give me an inspiration on the matter I kinda came up with an understanding of my view: Aero Lip: Aggressive Look M-Tech: Subtle Round Look (and special with added fog lights which distinguishes them from Stock bumpers) M-Tech + Front Splitters: Aggressive + Subtle Round Look M-Tech + Vorsteiner Splitters: Pure Sex |

Yep, the MSport + splitters is the best of both worlds. I think either splitters (OEM or Vorsteiner) would look great.. really depends on your own preference. If I had the money, I would go Msport bumper + OEM splitters painted body color. Right now I just have the aero lip on my E92.

Aero lip looks so good for the price. M-Tech is expensive and it somehow has that painful plain and stock look without a one piece lip.
I debated M-Sport for so long and decided to save the money and get a real M at some point. Aero lip all the way... |

Nice!!! That is my car With the aero lip. That was a while ago too. I do like the m-tech, and I would have bought it as a package from the dealer, but not after the fact. If I was going to change out my aero, I would buy a M3 bumper with a cf lip or the amuse bumper.
I bought the aero because it was not that expensive and it was quite easy to put on. |
