Anyone Have Video Of ...

Catless all the way but still stock mufflers?

I just got my catless dps and since it's going to be installed I am thinking about removing the other two cats as well. Also I have a e90 so whats the deal with the resonators?

I'm just trying to make it louder without dropping a ton of cash and I don't want to do I muffler delete because I don't want it THAT loud.

Thanks For Any Opinions

if you run the stock mufflers with absolutely no cats you'll have a lot of rasp.
It will not sound good at all.

So that is catless dps, catless midpipes, and STOCK mufflers correct?

I heard that the mufflers that are stock aren't very restrictive when they cut them open from someone. If this is the case I believe it'd be relatively cheap for a good sound.

Thanks for the video!

To Mr. 5. I know you're very knowledgeable so my question is what would make this setup so raspy? would it have a lot of drone too? If i just do catless dps and keep everything stock would I notice an increase in sound do you think?

Thanks in advance!

You are correct with saying that they aren't restrictive, but there isn't that much that's muffling the sound.
The e90 has a resonator as well so just eliminating the primary cats will most likely be alright.

you will hear an increase in sound and gain hp from catless downpipes. It will drone around 2-3k rpm. Its all relative to how much drone if you know what I mean, I like the drone/loud exhaust so it doesnt bother me at all. But others say its annoying, its up to you. Spend some time on youtube, there are TONS of diff. setups on there. Pick your fav. and dont look back as exhaust doesnt yield that many hp gains anyway. catless dp's and fmic are the biggest gains outside of a tune.

i have ar catless dp's and then secondaries deleted a month later and kept the stock muffler and resonator.

at first i was gonna just do the dp's but after a month i realized i wanted a tad more sound so i deleted the secondaries. i'd have to say, its pretty damn good. its enough to notice, but not enough to be annoying. under certain light loads in the 2-3k rpm there is very slight hints of drone.

mine does NOT rasp at all...i can't make it rasp even if i wanted to with this set up. i made sure by letting my friend rev the car and drive off under different loads and 40mph rolls in 2nd and 3rd gear while i was listening from another car behind.

i highly recommend this set up to those who have an e90 and want a freer flowing exhaust at a budget.
