Turn idrive display off

First off, please don't flame me. I've searched long and hard, high and low, google and my user manual.
Here goes...

How the heck do I turn off my idrive monitor while driving? It can get annoying at night and may want to turn it off during long drives. I drive a 2011 335i.

Thanks!

Keep in mind, the backlighting will still be on, it's just a blank display, so at night you can still see it, but it certainly makes a big difference

NICE!
I thought it was just radios, phone numbers, and other personal stuff.
