Problem with bluetooth/idrive
Hey Guys,
I was hoping you could help me out. For some odd reason... lately whenever I get into my car and the phone connects.. it automatically starts the timer as if I were in a call even though I'm not. In fact, my stereo won't even play because it thinks I'm in a call. The only way to fix it is to make a call and then hang up.. at that point the stereo will start working.. but the timer will keep going as if i'm in a call and the icon that tells the signal strength of the phone will continue to blink. The other thing, is when I go to get out of my car, if the phone is still connected, the radio will not shut off so I end up locking my door and walking away with the stereo still playing (I assume until I get far enough away for the bluetooth to disconnect). I did a search on this and the only solution I found was holding the start/stop button down for 5 seconds or something which didn't work. Just wanted to see if this has happened to any of you before.. and if there's a quick fix.. before I take it into the service dept. Thanks.

Need more info, i.e. type of mobile phone, does car have CCC, etc.
Also, did anything change? New phone, Progman update?

It's a blackberry curve 2.. it worked fine for months.. i'm not sure what ccc is but if it's the option to start the car w/ the key in your pocket.. no i don't have it... did change anything.. one day it just started doing that.... i've tried unpairing/repairing the phone and the car also a couple times... as soon as the phone re-pairs... it just starts the timer again as if i'm in a call even though i'm not...

BB Curve should work fine.
CCC is the Car Communication Computer, the high version of the onboard computer. I would recommend trying another phone and seeing how that works to eliminate the phone or the car.

Try another phone to see how that works, then go to your dealer to see if they can help you out with that. BTW: here is a list of BMW abbreviations you'll see throughout the forums: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11465
