Digit 11 is the Plant code:

L=Spartanburg
A=Munich
B&D=Dingolfing
E=Regensburg
N=South Africa

The 11th digit for my car is P. Anyone have any idea where that is?

My car is a 2007 335i.

I was under the impression that all 335i were produced in Regensburg.

For the E92 series, the P means Regensburg.

I haven't gone through the entire thread and my apologies if the answer has been posted before, however is there anyway to locate a vehicle after she has hit the port?

My dealer (in VA) says my new car was due to reach his dealership on the 19th (its apparently on a truck and has departed the port) however the car has not reached yet and he has no idea where it is.

Nope! Once it's on a carrier, there is no further tracking information available.

Any more recent in transits? I'm hoping my ED made it on one of the 9/28 ships.

Edit: No such luck, she sat at Harms for a week before getting to Bremerhaven. But once there she was boarded on the Mignon and is due into Charleston on the 24th Oct. That's a Tues, so I'm hoping she gets through by Fri and onto the truck, arriving early the following week. Trick or treat!

Just an aside: we left her at harms without getting a car wash first. Can that slow things down? Do they expect you to wash your car? We hit a lot of bugs in Italy and Austria!

Hey Guys, Do Anybody Around Here Dropped Off Around October 18th ??. I Did, And Anxious To Know Where My Baby Is Now. Today The Mignon Sailed, I Hope He Is On Board For Nov 23 Arrival Which Is Thanksgiving And Will Delay Things A Couple Days I Suppose. Better Yet Would Be If Sailed Already Before The Mignon. Does Anybody Have Any Similar Dates ??. Thanks

Hi Guys,
I am new in this Forum. Just placed an order for a 328xi with a Toronto dealer on 11/3/2006. I was told then that the delivery date is January 2007. The SA called yesterday to inform me that the delivery date will be February 2007 because of full production in the factory. I still have not received a production number or exact date. Please advise if it is normal.

I just ordered mine on 11/13, was told that it will be sometime in February. The Canadian owners circle site requires a VIN number. Not sure how we can track it then...

Thanks for replying sapphire335. I still don't have my VIN. The dealer told me that he'll give it to me as soon as he receives it. He said that it will be in December production and if I am lucky I may get it late January. But February is a more realistic month.

I order my 335i sedan on Nov. 12, 2006. It went into “On order” on Nov.14, 2006. Today, goes into “scheduled for production with no production date”. I am at San Jose, California

I ordered my Montego blue 335i last week and the dealer just forwarded a production number to me. I have logged into the OC website and don't see the car in my profile, but if I add the production number as a car, it shows up as a 2007 Montego blue 335i. Should I just wait for the OC site to update automatically or do I need to add this car manually?

Also, someone mentioned that the BMW FS money factor rate was available on their website, but I cannot find it anywhere. I think my dealer quoted me a high MF if the rate is really 0.00175 (4.2%) for the coupe.

My OC production facts changed after 3-4 days on its own. When I first ordered the car it was a SG with grey leather and auto, everything is correct now except the zsp and zpp did not show, all the individual options are correct.

I know this is an e90 forum, but I'm closely tracking the shipment of my 2007 M5 6-Speed. It left Bremerhaven on the Freedom on the 13th of Nov and arrived at port in NY on the 27th of Nov. Still waiting for it to get to the VPC and then finally to my dealer. Any idea how long it takes from the port in NY to my dealer in the tristate area? For a $100,000 car, you'd think that they would provide you with a little more detail and information on when you can expect your car to be delivered!

Usually about a week to ten days from the day it arrives in port. Give or take. Mine took 5 days from the date of arrival to my delivery date in DC, but that was very fast. Others on my same ship (we were all tracking it) took up to 2 weeks.

Your car is days away from being in your hands.
