I've recently bought and intalled this FK coilover's:

http://www.fk-shop.de/en/Suspension-...-Yr-02-05.html

they are cheap.. and look good...

i don't know if the installer know what they where doing.. but seems that the front suspension is breaking apart on every hole.. or speed bump...

do you know any usual problems that can occur in the instalation of the coils?

(i had to put 2cm spacers in front wheels 18'')

wut's the closest i can get to that? haha
I have the kw v1 on my Xi e90. The ride is less harsh and minimal body roll. The car has come to life for me and i wish I would have done this suspension sooner. It's also adjustable so I can slam it to the ground or raise it up. Hope that helps.

H&R Coilovers

I just put H&R coilovers on my 2011 335xi. I am running them with 235/35/19s. They are at the lowest setting. I have had them for about a week. So far... no rubbing, body sway is way reduced, turn in and handeling is great and so is the overall drive comfort. You definitely feel more of the road but its way better than feeling like you are driving around on your living room sofa!

I recently drove a 335i coupe with KW V2 coilovers and it handled nicely with better turnin and less roll than stock but also seemed quite compliant and comfortable.

Some further thoughts on this as 'comfort' is very much a personal thing.

The non ZSP/Eibach combo is actually the worst for overall performance so overall comfort might be judged as poor also. For reference, the ZSP shocks are only just in control of this spring and struggle particularly with rebound.

FSD/Eibach is nice for moderate driving on reasonably surfaced roads, particularly compliant on the compression side of things. I found this combo poorly controlled and floaty at speed. Rebound damping quite weak too.

No experience of the Billy coils but as they are a matched setup, maybe an acceptable level of comfort at moderate settings?

Cheers

Yves

I am currently using the Eibach Pro Kit Springs + Stock Non-Sport Shocks.

My Review and Ratings (1-5)
a. On normal city roads = It has comfortable ride (4/5)
b. On pot holes and bumps = Its very hard and harsh on the car (2/5)
c. On speed highway (200 kph) = floaty, unstable, lose (3/5)
d. On cornering on normal street (60 kph) = its ok (3/5)

I want to improve letters B & C above but coilovers are very expensive and its not an option to spend for now. Should I go for Koni FSD?

FSDs don't work so great on lowered cars, but Koni yellows (also called Koni Sports) should be perfect for you.

BMW Performance Chassis Kit

Live in Thailand and I have a 320d M Sport, I am thinking of upgrading to BMW Performance Chassis kit and would like some feedback from you guys as to what this will do to ride quality and how much this will lower the suspension.
I push the car fast and hard around the Thai roads (No Speed camera's) but the roads overhear are pretty poor quality bumps and pot holes etc, do you think by changing to the Performance chassis it will make it the ride from hell!

How about maintaining these KW coilovers if you live in a city like Toronto with snow and salty roads?

KW coilovers are made of stainless steel, so there won't be any rusting. They'll be fine. ST coilovers (their sister brand) however is not stainless steel.

Probably the most common coilover on here.

Search and you'll get a ton of reviews.
