Also don't think it's a 335 because the intercooler would be completely under water at this point and exhaust looks to be only coming out of left side.

Did she just do what everyone says not to do in that situation? Isn't that how you flood an engine?

I probably would have climbed in and tossed in neutral then gave pushing it my best shot. I feel like an insurance company could deny a claim due to the fact you flooded the engine instead of leaving it there to get submerged.

Air Intakes are located right above the front bumper. On a video, seems like the water inches below air intakes. It might be the reason car started, and was able to drive off. I had to get by 14" of water puddle, after some crazy rain that dumped 18" of water in 3 hours. By Saturday Morning, City has estimated 11 Million Gallons of Wastewater was dumped on the City. My 3 week old 2014 X6M, with 1200 miles got the worst of it. I could not believe all the sedans were able to make by, and my Brand New SUV got stranded. I needed to evacuate the area where I work because of a flood treat. It happened on Friday, and weather man predicted the same weather up until Sunday. Was no point for me to waited out. The only way out of the Industrial Park, was the water puddle that I had to cross. It was not any deeper that is in the video. My problem was, some ass on a pick up truck went by, and made a splash wave. Car chocked, and seized. Bottom line, Car is at the dealer waiting for a new Motor Block to come from Germany. Insurance company issuing a check for $31,740.00 to install a Re-manufactured Short Block. Might be even more after new motor is installed, and car is able to start. Insurance company is NOT Totaling this car, because water did not get inside. Service Manager at the Dealership is assuring me that everything will be okay, and if needed they will go after Insurance company for more money. I can not imagine how much my new Insurance Policy will be after this. It was charged as a Non-Collision incident.

You realize, the intercooler doesn't suck air in, right?

Yes but I am assuming it would take on water, thus not letting air pass through it

Intercooler is sealed, being submerged in water would not hinder performance, or do anything. The intake on the other hand, now that's something you don't want taking in any water.

the air intake comes in from the grill snorkel which is clearly not submerged and the airbox is at least that high but I still don't think I'd want to save it if I had any type of insurance. She's literally a couple inches from hydrolocking though
