Installing DP's and FMIC
I currently have the AutoLogic performance tune that took my 335i to 340HP and 380 ft lbs. I recently had the BMW PE installed, soon will have DP's and a FMIC. A tuner in town is telling me I should get a modified tune that accomodates these modifications. Is this true? Will my current tune/car not adapt and generate more HP as a result of the DP's without a new tune? Or is the potential just greater with a tune specfic for these mods?
Thanks for the feedback guys! |

You will still get gains, mostly from the DP; but a Pro tune specificly designed for your vehicle will maximize the amount of horsepower that u can get from all your mods

Will the 02 engine code restrict the cars performance in any way or is it more of an anoyance until I decide between the COBB, JB4 or another flash?

edit. nvm
You will need a tune to prevent the codes associated with downpipes.

I don't believe the catalyst monitors will impact the performance maps. Some tunes incorporate a DP "fix" in the software, but I'm not aware of any interaction between them.
