- tires is bigger, what does it do to my the handling?
- does the tire bulge over the rim?
- this seems like the safest option

2) The dealer said I could put 245/35/19 and 265/30/19

- I haven't seen anybody do this setup... I am worried.

3) Some other members have gone with 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 on 230s
- these are 8" and 9" rims - the manufactures say 8" to 9" but recommend 8.5" rims.... if we put them on the min rim size, it must be ok, but what does it really mean in real life handling.
- one member has picks of his 230s with this size in the nitto 255s, the car looks ok

My questions are related to handling mainly, I want the best handling I can get and reduce understeer by putting more grip up front (I am going to look at mods) - but from a straight tire perspective - what size should I go with in the PS2?

Thanks, great thread
I wouldn't go bigger than 235/35 and 265/30 on the 230's, espesially with the rather fat PS2 tires.

I am planning on eibach pro springs front/zsp rear or h&r springs all round on my 335xi. I would like to buy Enkei RPF1. Looked at their site :

8,5x19" ET 35 (235 tires)
10x19" ET 25 (265 tires)

Would this setup work on a e92 335i xDrive? Want them to look just right but not rub the fenders and there has to be place for a BBK later on.

Need help! Thanks.

Any of you guys running 245/40-18 front and 275/35-18 on either E92 Sport suspension or the BMW Performance suspension without rubbing or other issues? I'm under the impression that the widest I can go is 235 front and 265 rear. Thank you in advance!

lowered on KW clubsport, 2.8 negative camber in front. 18x9 square with 265x35 dunlup direzza 03G. ET35 in the rear, ET23 in the front. ET25 would fit as well. I had minor rubbing in the front, just some plastic, which was gone fast, now no rubbing.
full lock steering is not possible any more. people with VK oilcooler have to be carefull. the tire was toutching the metal cooling fins when cornering. You have to flatten the fins a bit.

I planned to buy BBS CH-R 19" for my E92 with M sport suspensions. I'm afraid about the ET32 of front wheels. I don't like that the front wheels come outside of the bumpers. According to my measuring they should be straight with bumpers. Can somebody help me? Does anybody had some pictures of E92 with M suspensions and 19" rims with ET32 in the front?

265 or 275

Hello.

I've got 295/25R20 Conti Sport Contact 3' s on e92 335i. Wheel width is 10.5" and offset 34. I haven't get to drive the car yet, but it seems, it lies on the tyre sidewall, when two men sitting on the back seat. There is H&R Sport Kit in the car.
Now I'm asking, do I have to go to 275/30 or even 265 tyre? And propably the fender rolling?

Thank you.

275's are great, but you will need to roll fenders with that size tire most likely, unless you get a ridiculously high offset

It also depends on the offset though, that's the main thing.
Hey Zoeb or anyone who is knowledgeable on the subject, maybe you might be able to give me some insight.

I bought some Forgiatos 2nd hand from a 5 series owner. Here's the situation:

The tires are completely worn down on the inside. I'm thinking either improperly aligned or wrong offset for that wheel on that car (E60s are supposed to be somewhere between +15 and 20 I believe). I measured the offset myself on the rears and got 30mm. The rear wheels (the ones I'm most concerned about) are 19x11 with a 5 inch lip. I haven't tried to put these on myself. I dropped them and my e92 off at a local tire chain store.

Unfortunately, I don't think this tire store does anything other than fit OEM tires on 94 Buick Regals. They told me that they were going to rub and pointed out a piece of the wheel well liner. The pin heads pointed it out while the car was on the lift and had no wheel on it. They were pointing out issues that have nothing to do with when the wheel has sprung weight on it! I'm going to try to fit these myself this weekend. I'm pretty sure I will need to roll the fenders but what do you think about this situation?

Is the whole setup f'd up from day one or with a little fender and wheel well modding will this be a realistic drivable set up? What would you recommend if it is do-able. What if I incorrectly measured and it's a 20 offset?

I'm thinking since I have an XI that I will go 225/35 in the front and 265/30 in the rear. I know the optimal set up is 235/35 up front and 275/30 in the rear but I'm just not sure about that tire fitting inside the wheel well on a 11" rim.

Thanks for any input you can give because I got a steal of a deal on these and would hate to sell them.

Here's a link that gives you some more insight on these:

19x11 and 20ish offset won't work on e92. doesn't matter whether you put 265 or 275 or if offset is around 20 or 30, it won't work.
even with offset close to 40, you will have to roll fender and run neg. camber to make it work. i would just sell it back while you can...

Yeah... not selling them back but thanks for the input. I guess it's about time to start looking for some wheels.
