Upgraded to LCI Xenons from Pre- LCI halogen with photos.

Ok, so ever since I got my E90 I was trying to get my halogen headlights replaced, I went through couple of aftermarker headlights and didn't like any of them even so famous Depo ones. Finally around a month ago I found a perfect pair of OEM LCI xenons from Europe, and off we go, I did some minor rewiring, I found out that European Xenons have a little different cable set up than in US, also coded VO to Xenon. I would like to thank this forum member JazaM3
(http://www.e90post.com/forums/member.php?u=159491)
and his Facebook search for 'Miami BMW Coding and Services'
for all his help, this guy is amazing. He helped me out with coding and further rewiring the lights to get it working perfectly. So after countless hours of trying to figure out the set up (tried using E90 DIYs but this wiring was different) we got it all working. And here are the pictures of the progress and the outcome!!!

and there they are!!

installed 6000K HID AE

old OEM color

6000K HIDs

coded VO and this is before corner delete...

and the final product!!

car with only AE on

lights on

lights and blinker

Looks amazing man, congrats! I'm on the hunt for some LCI's to do this conversion from pre-LCI xenons to LCI xenons.

Thats a hell of a deal.. i've been searching US and UK ebays, both seem to be selling empty housing for about $800 US (mint ones). Once you add up all of the missing LEDs, ballasts, bulbs, AHL stuff it gets up near $1800 total :/ Anyways, PM me if you got a good source! Thanks.

Yo that looks sweet! So I will be doing the the same thing.. I had AHL pre lci xenons and picked up a pair of LCI xenons.. I think it's just the housing though.. Would I be able to just use the parts from my pre lci xenons and place into the new set? Was this a hard install??

you probably could swap it out, except for AE and blinkers, but you probably would be able to get it all working with AHL. I had halos so I don't have that functions... hence the black inner light!

i'm a bit concerned what was the position of the light switch for you to light up the corner lights without the angel eyes ?

And is the turning signal flashing at normal speed ? or is it faster than normal ? or it was faster and after coding it got to normal ?

one more thing please , do you have any idea if the LCI angel eyes are brighter than the Pre- LCI ? if u can make comparison with pics that would be great

awesome work btw

corner lights(the 3 led) are on when switch is in this position..

Turning light was blinking fast before coding, afterwards is working fine with the right speed..

I am not sure if the light is brighter than pre-lci though... try finding some pix...
Thanks.

Also, when I the car is off and I set the blinker right (or left) I have the corresponding side 3 LEDs light up along with the tail light on that side... just like a parking lights should!

Well I bought some LCI lights but its just the housing.. Can someone tell me what I need to make this fit complete? I tried searching the forums but didnt have any luck.. I originally thought I could use the xenon bulbs and ballast from my existing pre lci headlights, but i guess thats not the case...

Will I need just the xenon bulb and balast.. H8 bulb for the angel eyes and the led's for the turn signals? I have AHL, what would I need if I wanted to keep my AHL?
