engine check light 2011 328i
i have a 328i 2011 and got a installed afe intake. I have now 3000 miles and got the service engine soon. Any answers why and what will happen thanks

SES light was not necessarily triggered by the intake unless it showed up right after he installed it - original post was unclear.

well i have no control my dads getting the intake taken out then hes bringing is over to bmw.

check your intake, try to reseed your MAF sensor.

my dad is bringing it over to a local performance shop to remove it and put the stock back in and bring it back to bmw i dont want to touch the intake if its something serious

im crossing my fingers because this car is so new but i should have never out the intake in so early

If all you touched is the intake your fine. Dont waist money taking to a shop to switch out an intake. change it back to stock by yourself and the light should go away

yea it's obviously the intake...
as long as you take it back stock i doubt you'll void the warranty. good luck though.
