yeah that's a good suggestion. I did change the oil with my friend once and it wasn't too bad.
I guess it does saves me money. However, I am at somewhere far from my house address and dont have the access to my tool and wrenches. It's probably not worth to invest another set, plus i will be moving again next year...

I will just do at dealer this time plus I need to do the recall thing too.

thank you =D
Sure man whatever works for you. I just get a little satisfaction when working on my car.

Vince,

Sorry I've been so flakey lately. My son is just 2 weeks old and I've been going everywhere to see family. In Santa Cruz. I'll hit you up when I return! Promise!

Since there isn't a local guy that can do the flash, we have been doing them remote.

so i set up with a guy in NY (there are others) to do the remote flash.

Since its a long process, loading the apps, data files, etc. They guy from NY is using me as a hub per say. So as long as i have the LapTop, (IT want's it back from me) i can still perform the Flash at mi casa. I have the cable & Laptop. So Steven can be more effcient. Just come by plug in and flash. If you want coding also, he can do it for pretty cheap, like another $15 bucks. Flash and code takes about 45 min. total.

FYI,

anywhere with a strong reliable internet and power can work.

Going in for the battery cable recall next weekend, anybody know if they'll wipe existing coding once it's completed?? Seeing as I'm getting it done this week, I would hate to lose those extra options a week later! LOL

Some corrections and points to make.

Video in motion is 2009+. Just need the hard drive based navi.

And I had my car coded and flashed a week or two ago at Vince's place. Car has been in for last service under warranty since Friday. I had a bunch of codes and issues which were addressed as well as the recall done.

No need for it to be recoded. Techs didn't even notice the Cobb actually.

They took the car out for a quick test drive and were thrown for a loop by the shifting. They thought maybe something was wrong with D1, D2, etc.
