Nooo, def not. I just keep a very very slow roll, like I'll inch along. So avg person might stop 5 feet from the car in front at a light. I'll stop at 9 feet and inch along and hope the light changes green by the time I get to the 5 foot buffer.

You'd go apoplectic riding with me... convertible top down and AC blasting to compensate.

Do you really think this is limited to BMW drivers? Listen to a few episodes of Car Talk, there's a lot OCD in the world spread across all brands.

i have an OCD with fingerprints.

i straight up tell people who havent been in my car before to not touch the windows and when they shut the door to shut it by the handle.

AND

before i wash my car i make sure i have atleast 3/4s of a tank because i don't want to go to the gas station and have them fingerprint the gas cap cover thing with a freshly cleaned car

p.s. I am not mentally handicapped.

I love this thread. I am happy to know I am surrounded by many OCD peeps.

Always close doors by using outside door handle

+1 rolling a long ways to a stop

+1 on putting in neutral, then pulling hand brake, then park

Cleaning gutters in engine bay with vacuum

Very gently close doors

After hard braking, put car in neutral at light so doesn't cook pads.

Push in cup holders

Everything goes in trunk

Only adjust seat height/recline when not sitting in it to prevent unnecessary resistance on seat motor.

Never use windshield washer spray nozzles for fear that it smears microscopic rocks trapped in dirt over the glass

Hardly ever use windshield wipers for same reason.

Would rather have sun burn off condensation than wipe off with wipers.

Just to name a few^^

Forgot to list: always fill gas tank all the way up. Never just "put $10 in"

Always reset trip odometer data, avg mpg, avg speed during fill up.

I guess the only weird thing I do is let the car warm up fully before shifting over 2500 RPMs and turn off the A/C before turning off the car.

There are some seriously quirky people here

Those of you who stop and creep at lights would get a horn in your ear from me and carogers86, just let me say they have medication for you .

I try to keep the temp knobs the same, push the cupholders in when not in use and like to keep my interior windshield as clean as possible. Streaks you can see when the sun shines in make me a bit crazy. I carry a microfiber cloth for this purpose. Otherwise most anything goes and when your car is the family DD with a car seat for a 2 year old, a clean and orderly interior is but a dream.

6.) My wife never drives, whether it's her car or mine, I always drive. I'm a horrible side seat driver, like if she comes to a light and a car is in the right lane and no one in the left and she just stays behind the car in the right, it makes my heart rate double!

Just curious if I'm the only strange guy on here.
That E46 video is awesome. And you have to put those slow poke drivers behind you whenever you get the chance for sure!

Along with everything already said....

1. when it's raining I have a towel in a bag to wipe the water off the bottom of
my shoes to keep any water from getting on the floor mats.
2. Never let the bottom of my shoes rub on the door sill plate, and let anyone getting in my car not too.
3. Always keep my shoes on the floor mats never on the carpet.
4. Parallel park when ever possible so no one can park beside me.

Garage List
I do some of the things mentioned in this thread, mostly because it's better for the car (parking w/ steering wheel straight ...). Some other things:

-Ventilation system, radio, lights - off before car is shut off.

-No lose objects in the cabin

I'm conscious of the passengers (well, in my case passenger since I don't have a back seat anymore) and I don't want them needlessly touching things and so on. To avoid spelling out rules, I tell them one thing: "Stay out of the way of my shifting" e.g. keep your arms off the center console. This sets the mindset that I take things seriously and there's no need to say anything else.

1. Park as far as possible and preferably next to islands
2. Driver and Passenger temps have to be the same when driving alone
3. Wait till the car drops to minimum RPM's before driving
4. Aim the middle passenger air vent towards me when there is no one else in the car
5. For some reason I always set the radio to this one station before I turn off my car then turn off the radio
6. Everything goes in the trunk
7. Dont touch the paint on my car and any finger prints on the paint or windows drives me crazy
8. Windows down, A/C off
9. Depending on what shoes I wear, I take them off because the soles are too thick and cannot really feel the pedals
10. Car is washed every saturday morning
11. Backed into the garage even if it is in there for 30 minutes
12. No eating or drinking unless it is water
13. Make sure headlights are off if I ever wash the windshield because I don't want the headlight washers over spraying on to the paint

Those are just a few that I can think of off the top of my head.

I always turn my music down (windows down or up) at at red light.

Windows must be rolled down simultaneously.

Cup holders must always be in

AC must be the same

All AC vents must be parallel.
