Poly transmission mounts
Hi there, I would like to upgrade my auto transmission mounts but can't find any companies in the UK that sell something similar. Here's some from a US company, http://www.rogueengineering.com/Rogu...nts_p_137.html
Has anyone found and used any from a UK company? Thanks in advance, |

There is a guy over in Ireland who makes them. Can't remember his name, but will have a look in my email.

I've had the Rouge Engineering mounts fitted for several years (manual transmission admittedly). They are excellent. I ordered them direct from RE in the USA.

Evening, I saw a distant friend who is modding their E36 and they were doing transmission mounts. It appears both cars use the same mounts: http://www.duraflexpubushes.com/bmw-...ting-257-p.asp
I fitted these today on the drive, wasn't too taxing apart from the zero degree temperatures! Can't say I can feel a noticable difference but they look good and the idea is sound. The manufacturer did say they are made up of two bolts that are set in something very hard in the centre and have polyurethane around the outer that you see. The pic shows the poly bush rotated around the wrong way by 180 degrees, it's clear and obvious why when you offer it up to the car. Last edited by MooLard; 03-17-2018 at 05:47 PM.. |
