V5 install oddity after 2.5 upgrade???

installed my V5 after getting the 2.5 upgrade. All looked good, car runs, command center works to reset adaptions. After turning off ignition and turning back on again, my guage settings are keeping the Mode 2 setting (135 w/260kph speedo) While in the command center I can change this mode and it works correctly, the setting just won't persist through ignition cycles.

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

Your V5 secretly wants to be installed in a 135i with the 260 kph speedo.

Sounds like a software bug. Try reloading firmware and maps.

It is in a 135i, the V5 just keeps putting the Mode 1 setting back to setting #1 (335i).

Ah. Now I get you. Yeah seems like it doesn't save settings.

After more than 1 ignition (and engine running) cycle, this issue seems to have cleared itself. Not sure what the issue was to begin with .... but seems to be OK now.

It's not very techie at all. I had no clue what I was doing when I bought my Procede and now I love it.

Plenty of helpful members and Vishnu employees if something were to come up

Install is easy if you follow the instructions first time took me an hour last time I took it out was under 15 minutes start to finish...understanding settings and stuff is easy too, just use the preset settings and if you adjust anything check with shiv

Don't let a couple of posts discourage you from buying one. The percentage of owners that post problem is in the single digits percentage wise

Having a V5 is definately worth the time it takes to learn the install/settings

I am definitely going to buy one for sure... to think i had custom tuned fully modified Evo's and St's with cam work, turbo upgrades etc and I am afraid of doing this basic mod.. i guess maybe i knew the Japanese cars were so resilient!!!
