time for new rotors?

Hi there a friend told me about r1 concepts stor in america and im after some new rotors and ceramic pads for low dusting.

The only problem is, is because i own a 323i and America's base model (i believe) is a 328i??? im not sure if it would fit.

So when i go an look at the compatibility table further down each ebay page it will say not compatible. But does the disc/rotor/caliper set up remain the same? Some help would be most appreciated.

Below are possible options i was looking at.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/F-R-Kit-PREM...item51b5b22395

http://www.ebay.com/itm/F-R-Kit-PREM...item51b5b23235

http://www.ebay.com/itm/REAR-KIT-PRE...item5af8473279

http://www.ebay.com/itm/FRT-KIT-PREM...item5af847325b

Thank you. =]

I'm using it atm on my 335i and have no issues with it. Quality wise imo it is just as good as the ECS rotors.

Hi,

I would need to know the U.S spec of your vehicle. Ask some of the members on the forum what the U.S spec of your car is. Let me know.

the reason they are different part numbers is one is A BMW part the other is ECS aftermarket part.312x24mm will fit. you can check on realoem.com if you like.

I went on real oem but the site was down for updates...

anyway i spoke to ecs and they provided me with this:

https://www.ecstuning.com/Checkout/?...tent=link2cart

incase that link doesnt work here are the individual links:

http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2539451/

http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2539453/

however they are both 300 x 24 or 300 x 20

not the measurements you guys gave me (part number supplied by 3234ME:
Front: 312x24mm
Rear: 300x20mm)

so would he 300 x 24 fit? or i best get 312 x 24?

also when changine pads and rotors will i need these:
http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2534772/
http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2534770/

thankyou thankyou thankyou!!

Goto realoem.com and enter your last 7 digit of your vin and double check the OEM part specifications.

I personally would stick with OEM rotor dimensions if possible. I think those will fit, but you lose 12mm overall and I'm not sure if it will affect the overall braking.

Just been onto real oem and found that my rotors agree with what 3234me has said also where my front is 312 X 24 and rear is 300 X 20

http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...78&hg=34&fg=12

it gave me 2 part numbers for the rear? the only thing i am assuming is that one part is no longer made? and is substituted by another?

PN: 34216764651 (rear disc) it said ended in the notes

PN: 34216855007 (read disc) i am assuming the superseded the above one?

ALso R1 concepts have sent me the specs of their rotors for front and read

Front Rotors
Outer Diameter: 312mm
Height: 73.6mm
Nom Thick: 23.8mm
Min Thick: 22.4mm
Hub Reg: 79mm
Bolt Size: 14.5mm
Bolt Circle: 5x120mm
Weight 19.45lbs

Rear Rotors
Outer Diameter: 299.8mm
Height: 66.2mm
Nom Thick: 19.90mm
Min Thick: 18.4mm
Hub Reg: 75mm
Bolt Size: 14.7mm
Bolt Circle: 5x120mm
Weight: 13.75lbs

from this info do you guys think it should be okay?

The R1 rotors are pretty close to the oem spec. It should be fine.
