JB4 or Dinan for N55

Which is better?

Its a lease and its going back in 2 years, but I'm bored of it

what are the differences?

what should I expect in power gains?

I'm also getting a DP and charge pipe.
also already have the BMW performance exhaust installed

I've had my JB4 since beta and couldn't recommend it more. Dinan is a ripoff.

JB4 is a pnp while Dinan is a flash. JB4 has more gains. Not to mention if you get Dinan + DP, you will have a CEL whereas with a JB4, you wont.

Dinan is great, but it's too costly. Best bang for the buck would be to go with the JB and match it up with some AR Downpipes

JB all the way! And don't mind if a few Dinan badge whores come in here trying to prove how superior they are. They just have tiny penises and need to make up for it somehow...

eh jb4 for n55 is not that great IMO didn't notice a huge difference unlike the N54...I'd wait for cobb

dinan is not as aggressive as JB4. Plus the price difference is another story.

but... knowing that it makes more hp you cannot forget that Dinan retains the BMW warranty. so it saves you the hassle of taking the jb4 in and out, though its a 10 minute process once you get use to it.

imo JB4, take in and out for service. youll be happy.

n55 isnt really an exciting motor, but the jb4 is n54 of the n55 tuning options.

Exactly. My wife bought my JB4 and USB cable for around $630? (when it first came out, they are cheaper now).

After a year of using it or so, I resold it still for $350... U can't re-sell Dinan, so bye bye $2500. Plus if your thinking of DP's and whatever else, from what I've heard, Dinan doesn't adapt to bolt-ons, JB4 however, will.

id be pissed if i dropped $2500 on a tune only to drive around with less power than everyone else and a cel for my catless exhaust

would I be able to run the JB4 on map 2 if I dont have a downpipe ? I do have the BMW performance exhaust (granted I know it doesnt do much/anything)

Im running map 1 now, but want to see how 2 is...

Since the weather is a little cool I'd say you can. Just don't keep it on all the time. If you wanna just make a few pulls to feel the difference theres no problem.
