Wheel Hanging Pins

Is this what I need to do quick wheel changes?

Is it the right size for our bolt holes?

Or maybe this BMW part?

http://www.bmw325i.net/wheel_pin.shtml

Some other post in the wheel subforum talks of the bolt thread being M12 x 1.5mm. The ebay one is M14 x 1.5mm. Maybe the ebay one is wrong?

Hey, at least I don't spend my money buying socks for my winter tires.

Second, I am getting old. It's hard lifting up the wheel and trying to line up them puppies. Plus having spacers really hurts too - both the spacer and wheel moving all over the space.

Third, u can go fook yourself soni.

just becasue you got xi, so you can talk shit. I still remember I got stucked at my work parking lot for 30 mins trying to get out. And almost got stuck on DVP. I think by investing $50.00 and get myself in trouble is worth the spend

Fug u..I never put any xi down. On side note, have you ever try to drive up your driveway on a snowstorm day with a regular car (non 4X4 vechicle)?

Of course. But after my experience with my RWD E46 (330ci) in my driveway - but most importantly after trying to get up the hill at Bayview and Eglinton one snow stormy day in my E46 with snows, I decided that I like AWD...

Most fun though is going down my driveway when it's coated with freezing rain. Sometimes you can't make the corner and slide into a snowbank...

LOL, the hill on Bayview and Eglinton is nothing compare to the one on Avenue, south of St. Clair.

I believe they are 12's, not 14's. The BMW bolts sold here also refer to being 12's:

Thx Lotus99.

Either gonna try Home Depot to see whether they have a long bolt and I can just cut the head off or the BMW dealership for the OEM solution...

Wheels pins are pretty useful. Yes it's not hard to line up the holes but this thing can make it even easier to change your wheels. Doesn't seem like BMW have one for anything newer than the e36. I bought the one for the e36 from the dealership and it works pretty well.

Do you use one per wheel or two?

I just use one, put it into the hole at the very top and just hang the wheel off that. That'll help you align the other holes.

haha , I always need to drive backward in order to get back home. So I did seriously considered the xi when I ordered my E92 but after I saw how 4x4 is the xi... I prefer to drive in backward

BTW, I got my wheel pin from ebay and it came in a pair. Before I have the pin, it took me more than an hour to change all 4 wheels on my E46. But with the pin, slightly more than 1/2 hr. But if you want some workout, then holding the crazy heavy oem rim and finding the hole for the bolt is quite "fun"!
