People who treat your car like s***
One thing that annoys me the MOST is the fact that people (especially people you know, friends etc) who treat your car like trash.
Maybe this is just me but a lot of people I drive around piss me off on how they treat it. Perhaps I just treat it too well in comparison to how others do BUT every time I am in someone else's car, I treat it even more carefully than my own vehicle because I know the car is not mine. Just in the past month, I have had my passenger side bars kicked straight off TWICE..... and now it has to be replaced as it is completely cracked. People can't even take the effort to lift their feet off to get off the car they just slide their feet across and kick it straight off. Another thing that annoys me is when people put their feet on my seat, kicking the interior and scratching the sides of the interior, leaning on my car, and dropping food and juice all over the place. I just had an experience yesterday my friend was trying to wake me up from my nap in the car and he was shaking my car violently. WTF. The worst part is that they are all my friends so confronting them directly would be harsh. Let me know if you have had any of these experiences and how you feel when other people treat your car like garbage.

2 step procedure
step 1: sac up step 2: tell em to respect your property or they can find another way to get around.

Yeah, I've had a similar experience. Basically, people won't love or respect your car like you do - unless they are the rare type of car lover who is also respectful.
I just try not to take people out in my BMW now, I have a Prius for running around so I take that. If you let them, people will eat in your car, smudge your floor with mud, etc. So just don't let them! |

I have never liked to valet my car, but a few months ago I was at a restaurant that forces you to use their valet service. When we came out to get my car, I watched the valet driver rev the car, peel out, and narrowly miss the bumper of the car parked next to me (literally missed it by less than 2 inches). He then proceeded to come to a screeching halt in front of the valet waiting spot, jump out of the car and kick my door guard straight across the parking lot (the plastic strip thing flew under the car, and the clips went everywhere). He didn't even apologize. Just picked up the strip and handed it to me, and said, "Oops."
Needless to say, I held up traffic for the better part of 30 minutes while the valet company's manager drove out to the lot from several blocks away. They initially tried to have me take the car to "a guy they know" to fix it, but that was not going to happen. They got a nice, hefty bill from BMW collision, and I hope the douchebag driver got fired.

Dropping food and juice in someone's car is completely unacceptable regardless of whether it's a BMW or not. Don't let them eat/drink in your car if they can't keep from making a mess.
Leaning on the car is a bit mild in my opinion, but that may be just because it's unavoidable -- if I park my car in the streets in NYC I will come back to find random strangers leaning on it like it's a tree or something. Last time it was these 3 teenagers who didn't even stop when I got in the car and started the engine. Only got their attention when I started moving |

No, I would tell them but i wouldn't take it too seriously unless it keeps on happening then I would just refuse them around my car.

I could kind of relate with the whole friend thing. When you bring your car around your friends or whatever, I noticed they start to get touchy touchy, in terms of just touching any new mod you put on your cars etc, always checking out things. They would also lean on your car from the outside if you guys are just talking or do other things or put their drink on top of your roof as a table for example.
The bottom line, I think we care about our cars way more than the average person and most of the time people don't intentionally mean to damage or hurt your car it's just a natural thing and they probably don't even think it's a big deal. |

My company occasionally has fire alarm drills where we all meet up at designated areas in the parking lot nearest our department. My area has some nice cars in it, and it always amazes me how my co-workers will treat the parked cars. The most egregious example was when our CFO used my old boss's white E46 M3 as a clipboard, putting a sheet of paper on his trunk lid and writing on it with a ballpoint pen. Being that it was the CFO, he thought it best not to say anything, but I could still see his blood boiling.

My ex girlfriend used to put her feet on the windshield and sunroof, sit sideways in the seats, change gears when the clutch wasn't pushed in just because she knew it annoyed me. They haven't found her body.

How about my roommate, I parked at an end spot in a parking garage against a cement wall. I tell everyone watch your door when you open it. He opens it much further than necessary and hits it against the wall. I was so mad at this point, chipped paint on the door now. Then he tops it off by saying "it's just a car".

When one of my friends and I go out to grab a quick fast food bite to eat after sports, sit down obviously, we fill our cups up with water right before we leave then while im driving, she holds both cups during accelerating and turns so they don't spill in the car. Thats love and respect right there . Wish I could say this for all of my friends.

Every time someone gets in & slams the car door I make them to get out and do it again... This time DON'T slam my DOOR. They always think I'm joking but eventually they get out and get back in. done this to 6 different people and it works, they don't slam my doors anymore.
They can walk if they don't have respect or appreciate the ride.
