Hey BC peeps importing a 335
I will drive it from Seattle to BC what insurance do you get and what permits, I've done it in the past with plates and a binder of insurance but this time I won't have a plate and I've heard what ICBC sells you might not cover it, In Manitoba they give you a transport permit and insurance why can't we get that here.

Hey IslandBimmer,
I kinda went thru this when I got my car south of the border. My understanding is the following: 1. If the car is used, it most likely has US Plates on it, if not you need to get a license permit from the US (WA DMV, I think it is like $22 for 3 days and is valid in canada, there is a place in cost cutter foods in blaine that sells it, i think) 2. Once it has a license to be on the road, you then get the Binder of Insurance. Quote:
