Actually the car is wrapped and this is an option - so stop judging it by its color. ;-)
It comes Mineral White or Saphire Black from stock.
Also the green inserts are optional.

And I think it looks sick in Mineral White!
Also it is about the same price as a stock M3.

I would take one!

BMW and Alpina even more so, are reknown as for beeing very modest about theyr figures, and numbers.
So if they claim something, expect even more!

Looks much better in white; especially the front bumper.

Yup, that was my observation as well. As for the color, I'd give her a roll but I wouldn't want to marry her.

130C/270F should be fine on a modern synthetic.

True. It wasn't the temp, but the rate of increase with that volume and speed of air. When doing a dyno pull, you see that kind of action but you don't have 300kph air moving across the front of the car.

I agree it is a big increase, but the engine is literally being pushed to the limit . If it were my car, and I were doing that all the time, I would want to keep it below 260F personally. Little oil cooler improvement? I also wonder if that is a real oil gauge or some extrapolation off the coolant, etc.

But oil temps rise pretty damn fast, as do EGT, on most turbo cars as I'm sure you know. Plus, you usually do not run such high speeds on the dyno...

So basically what this means is that with any old tune that yields about 400hp and removes the top speed limiter, one of our N54 cars is capable of approx 190mph. good to know!

I'm really undecided on this. Definitely looks a lot better in white. Would like to see a comparative review against an M3 if they're evenly priced. The torque figure is beastly, I'd like to see its 100mph times against an M3 as their 0-60 are similar. That extra torque must come in to play somewhere if it can put it down.

+1

Need more than 408hp to achieve 190+ mph. BMW speedometers are highly inaccurate. 192 indicated equals 175-177 mph.

BTW, ugliest E92 ever
