Stripped sway bar mounting hole. Options?

Hey guys, I installed new twins and in the process of bolting everything back up, the top mounting hole on the passenger side of the sway bar somehow got stripped out. Without buying a whole new subframe, or welding anything, what options do I have? Can it be rethreaded?

Where the subframe is wedged together there is stop that will allow access of a small bolt that you will have to fish through.

Way more often than that. Here is how to fix it http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=990193
Although I have successfully fished bolts through there. You just need a pick and a magnet to do.

I ended up just rethreading the hole. Didnt really expect it to work, but it did perfectly. Grabbed a tap and die, think it was an 8x something, and used an impact and hammered it in. Worked like a charm.

The frame is few mill thick. I'm not sure that is good enough to be threaded. There is a lot of tension there every time cars turn or going over potholes. If it last great. However I wouldn't expect it. It might rip that bolt off.

It is not the frame, it is the threaded mounting hole behind the frame that was the issue. That is what i rethreaded, not the frame itself

The link Feuer provided is exactly why i go real easy on those 8 mm fasteners. I go aliitle more than rachet tight. Probably around 16 lb-ft or so. The spec is higher but i don't have faith that the thing won't rip out at 25 lb-ft
