wierd issue

Last night while driving from Los Angeles to Orange County I hit a bad pothole at the 405 Freeway ramp entrance at around 11pm. I did not see the pothole because of the SUV in front of me. On hitting the pothole the rpm needle hit 4 while I didn't even hit the accelerator that hard. The temp needle was at 160 which was odd. But once I hit the freeway everything was fine. The rest of the journey was fine. No weird issues with any of the indicators.

Has anyone experienced such an issue? Should I take my car is for a check?

Well the tire pressure indicator came on Monday morning. So I took it in to the dealer to take a look at the car. All the person did was reset the indicator saying that the cold weather can sometimes make the tire pressure indicator to come on. They did not bother checking the pressure.

The indicator has not come on since then. Is that the right thing to do?

No...
He should have check the tire pressure on all four tires and add air if necessary to the manufacturer's recommended setting. After this he should have reset it.

Will the warning come on again in case the tire pressure is really low?

Only if the pressure gets lower then what it currently is. The TPM alerts you of a pressure change but doesn’t read actual pressure. You should manual check your pressure and adjust it, once its correct then reset the TPM.

If you don’t have a tire pressure gauge this is a good time to get one. For safety reasons alone, though fuel and tire costs are big factors also, they should be checked at least once a month.

I really haven't had a chance to check my tire pressure yet, but thank you guys so much for your advice. It was really careless of crevier to do this and their service seems to be going downhill.
