Injen DCI & Active Steering!!

Has anybody with Active Steering successfully installed the Injen Dual Cone Intake system?

It seems all the pictures of other installs I see don't have Active-Steering.

My issue is that the Power Steering reservoir pipes don't extend far enough to sit on the new cradle.

I left it sitting there for now, but now I'm hearing PS noises!!!

You can see the Active Steering Reservoir just sitting there...

Help?

Yes you can do it, but there is no point, too expensive for the same gains as a simple BMS or EAS DCI. theres a few threads about this, search for them.

I have Injen and active steering; you need to play with the piping from the bottom. It took me a good 10min to create slack.

This is the reason I went with the BMS DCI. I didn't feel like re-locating the AS reservoir. I'm sure it can be done though. Didn't they offer a kit with brackets or something?

Did you manage to put the AS Power Steering reservoir onto the provided bracket?

It did come with brackets, but short of ripping the Power Steering hoses our of their clamps, it doesn't seem like the reservoir will relocate.

I think I will sell my Injen system and go with the more basic BMS or Vishnu. It looks the part, but not worth the headache.

I'm actually thinking about buying this intake. I'm assuming I shouldn't based on your last post. What are the cons?

Do a search for STETT and active steering. They have the same issue and you may find more 'how too' guides.

I have active steering and researched the same thing, but in the end I just went with the CP-E DCI's as all others seemed like too much effort. Especially the Injen, as they're still just sucking the same hot air the BMS DCI's are...

If you really wanted the blue filters - just get two 4" reducer pipes made up and use the injen filters as you would the BMS DCI..
