Number plate valuation- 'B1MW M'

Hi all,
My MD has a plate he wants to sell (used to have an M5) and has asked my opinion on the value.

It is B1 MWM which looks great on an M Car even if you don't do dodgy spacing.
If you do dodgy spacing it looks even better as 'B1MW M'.

Opinions welcome!

Looking around my desk I can see a last years calendar and a staple remover that I would happily trade for it

Dave C would probably give you the fluff from his belly button for it!!

Why not apporach some reg companies and have the sell it for you on a commission basis?

Fine. I'll up my offer to include a copy of last years Argos catalogue, with the cover missing. That's inclusive of the pringles and Westlife CD (CD-R, not original)

Popular opinion seems to suggest it's worth the square root of fuck all - and that's from BMW enthusiasts. It's meaningless.

But not surprised. As on the other thread all about vanity plates some look OK (whether they are your taste or not is a different matter) but that plate just proves the point about the ridiculous ones. It says nothing at all but looks like you're still trying.

Someone should PM 'DaveC' and 'Swiller' that a plate is available they might be interested in. They seem keen on private plates (if anyone has read the private plate debate in the off-topic forum ).

I'm joking guys before you lynch me.

In all honesty, it's not the best plate, it's a typical plate that screams 'trying too hard' and 'can't afford a proper BMW plate' (he could afford an M5 so he's not the latter it's just what that plate says to others).

I'm sure there would be a buyer out there though. I'd try it at £350 on e-bay or pistonheads and see what takers there are.

Edit - Ian beat me to my comment whilst I was typing!!!

I suppose if you're bi-sexual and proud of it and your initials are MWM, then B1 MWM might appeal.

Ohhh. I'll bow out of this one, too rich for my blood.

In all seriousness though, I would try it out around the 4-500 mark. There will be someone out there that thinks it's great and willing to part with serious cash for it.

Just nobody here.

I agree. On the right day on ebay I reckon you'll get nearer £500.
