Another Thank You to Dave96dcm - Alignment!
So my car sits low on 18" stock rims and these MA/RI roads are killing my suspension and wheels. I looked at my tires when I did my brakes the other day and noticed the metal coming out of the insides of my rear tires, great.
Since snow is still on the ground, I decided to just put on some new rubber until the spring and use this older set for winter driving. I then thought I really need to get my camber more positive and would probably need some camber kits, adjustable camber/toe bars, etc......looking about about $500+ in parts. I stumbled across Dave and he seemed very confident that he could get my E90 in spec.......made an appointment this past Sunday (day Patriots lost). He showed up on time, driving another E90....that made me feel better. Got my car up on lift, hooked up to alignment machine, adjusted toe and camber in rear in spec, adjusted camber and toe in front into spec....yes, adjusted the toe and camber in front and back. Paid him a reasonable fee and went home to catch the Patriots blow the game.... Dave's service made me feel more comfortable about making the new tires last longer! Hey Dave...if you read this, could you do a downpipe install on the xi ??? |

Always good to see members endorsing others for a job well done. I'll have to keep Dave in mind in the future!

Damn, I have been delaying this whole alignment until I needed an oil change...I think it's time.

guys...he's up in Gardner....about an hour north of Providence, 30 minutes north of Worcester, hour west of Boston, etc etc.....
he's a down to Earth guy.....not looking to rip you off, just making some honest money for honest, quality work. I just got a quote for down pipe installs on a XI.....and yes, he knows how to do that too and quoted me a price that is more than competitive....I would rather have him do it than myself at that price.... He's done clutches and other stuff too..... |

Downpipes are around 3 hours, gald you noticed my choufer in her E90 I don't own one it's hers. But I'm her mechanic. I'm far from Boston but that's why you buy a nice car, so you can enjoy driving it

The drive is worth it.
1. Gas is cheaper up there. 2. You can actually see your car being worked on. 3. Total cost is usually a good 30+ % cheaper than what you would pay with the indy garages in Boston. BTW dave worked on my 11' Mustang GT as well. So hes not just limited to BMWs. |

I thought I posted earlier but it looks like it never went through. Well I got my alignment done, oil/filter changed and raised the rear. Dave was great to work with. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing stuff done. He also uncovered what I was worried about when I had my KW V1s installed at Eastside Motoring...the kid who installed it must have been new because he stripped a bolt and installed one side of the rear incorrectly. I understand new employees need to get some training, but it looks like there should have been more observation with this kid. I knew a normal coilover install shouldn't take 5 hours. This is just my own experience and obviously Eastside has some celebrity clientele so they must have great mechanics and installers but just be wary about who works on it. I will be going to Dave from now on until the day comes that he messes something up! hahaha, jk Dave.
btw. the car drives like a completely different car. Thanks Dave!

Revive from the dead!!!
yet another thanks to Dave from me as well, got VRSF xi downpipes installed by him, the fitment was a little tight but he took the extra time to make it work. i would suggest buying AR's for the fitment is more spot on and Wont make Dave want to kill himself, lol. But overall great guy to deal with, im sure ill be back to see him, Thanks again Dave!!

its been a few thousand miles since dave did my alignment and all is well...don't think I have any wear as I had him try and get me closer to neutral camber than negative....
Aren't those VSRF DP sold through a guy in Marlboro, MA? How long did it take to install on the XI ???? |

Dave helped me with my spark plugs, intakes and downpipes same time last year. Did an excellent job installing it all. Couldn't be happier. Thanks Dave!

Another review for Dave
I was shopping around for a quote to install my newly purchased Koni FSDs and I found a couple good prices from some recommended shops on the forums. I normally DIY easier stuff like VCG, coils/plugs, etc... but I didn't have some of the tools necessary so I decided to ask around. Then I read some of the reviews regarding the quality of work Dave does, so I decided to give him a shout for a price on install. His price for install and an alignment beat all the other quotes from the shops and it was more than competitive to say the least. Always willing to support a fellow enthusiast. Got there around 2pm, and we chatted for a while and he gave me some tips about upcoming work that I'll be doing on the car. I would recommend you bring somebody else with a car with you depending on how long of a job it'll be. I didn't and Dave said it would take about 2 1/2 hours so I just walked into town to get some lunch and explored the area. The only thing that kind of stinks is that Dave is the only one allowed to be in the garage working on the car. This is due to the owner and the legal/liability laws for obvious reasons. But it sucks considering if you knew what you were doing you could help him out and maybe do other stuff to the car as well. Maybe it's just better to leave him in there and stay out of his way Done by 5:30pm, got the printed out spec sheet from the alignment and he was picked up in another e90. Down to earth guy, knows his stuff, and his prices are very fair. Can't say enough good things about Dave, if you're within 1 hour of Gardner, MA you'd be foolish to take it elsewhere.
