mds82...what are you're thoughts about going from a 6000 to a 18,000 mcd LED http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/w18015_specs.htm, both 5mm in size.
Continuous Forward Current for the 18,000 mcd LED is only 30mA and Peak Forward Current (1/10th duty cycle, 0.1ms pulse width)100mA. Will this make a big enough difference in light output & how much hotter do you think it'll be?

Thanks, but I have a few more issues to sort out before there's a Kit or a DIY. Even then it won't be a mod for everyone since it's going to require some tedious dis-assemble & re-assembling skills...

Yea, it's your fault, you e90 guys with the Sweet looking Angel-Eyes.

I need a pair of e90 headlights to disassemble and adapt to the e92's...but then again it would probably trip a code since it's a different wiring harness.

Thanks & sorry about that. Here's a picture slide-show(link below)of my G35 & list of performance mods at the end of this video.
When I chased down a modified C6 Vette with my little V6 G35 with just a few NA Engine Mods, Suspension Mods and a Big Brake Kit at our open Track Day at Talladega Gran-Prix.
Just goes to show how Valuable Handling & Braking are, especially when your Way-Down on Horsepower!...

now ya got me started... A few different Headlight Projects & G35 Pics...

Custom 2006 Headlights w/6000k Philips Ultinon D2S Bi-Xenon HID Bulbs, Shown with Lower Projector DRL & LED's on.

On the stool, BMW Bosch M3 HID Projectors in the Top Bezel & Infiniti Q45 Lens in the bottom Bezels..

2006 headlights w/Carbon-Fiber Accents & LED's...

more Headlight & Tailight Projects...

Thanks Man...that's good to know. I guess we'll find out next week. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks...back to the headlights, there was a bit of trail & error with a few of those Infiniti headlight mods, but it was a good learning experience.

I appreciate that guys & doba_s...Thanks for sharing your Avatar...um, I mean the link on the UltraBright White LED 5mm 15,000mcd! with Free R&S/H. I just ordered them. If they don't work out for the outer ring mod I can always use them on other projects. I also have some other LED's coming in from different sources so hopefully we'll land on the Right One. Again, Nice Find!:rocks:

not a prblem man ... i am all about DIY and safe custom work on my car and when i see something like that , i am always glad to help ... if you check their store , you can probably find something else there ... since you said that 18k could be too hot , i thought that 10k or 15k should be about right ... they also have slightly bigger LED's which is much brighter and also 5mm ... check it out...

it will be more effective to do this mod instead of getting just one bulb full of LED's that will not help to make the outer ring brighter ...

I'm sure the Umnitza/jlevi H-8's will be an improvement over what's currently available, we'll just have to wait and see.
