TPMS problem...

So I have a 335i and just recently put a set of vmr v710's on there with a set of new beru tpms. I checked all the pressures and everything is consistent, yet the little "!" warning sign is constantly on and when i go to "check" it shows the tpms symbol. I thought maybe the ecu needed to "learn" the new tpms sensors so I have driven about 30 miles or so and it is still on.

Any suggestions?

Beru makes sensors for all kinds of systems. Did you get the OEM sensors designed for BMW specifically? If not, there's your problem. Check back with wherever you got the sensors, I bet you got generic ones, not the BMW version.

Also make sure they are the ones for 2007-2009 model year. I believe 2010 model year uses a different one. Maybe that's what you got?

Or, they may have to be programmed for the car. There is some sort of setup involved, otherwise, how does the system know which sensor is associated with a specific wheel?

did you reset the TPMS after you put the new wheels on? you need to reset the TPMS before it registers the new ones.
