We threw the code when I was around 67% E85 and replaced it with a stock one.

16 14 7 163 296 Fuel pressure regulator with filter (inside driver's side of the tank), $244.42 retail. If the LPFP doesn't cure it, it may be a clogged fuel filter and/or bad pressure regulator. Try just replacing the pump unit, first, then if you still have problems (haven't seen any reported problems with the fuel filter/regulator unit yet) then you may need to replace that unit as well. The filter and regulator are together inside the tank, no more external fuel filter like older cars.

LPFP isn't too bad, just try to do it under half a tank I guess...I had about 5/8 and it was a little sloshy.

I'm sold as well. The ability to just throw whatever fuel you need to put into the tank without having to reflash the ECU is going to be amazing. Not to mention the power gains on an otherwise stock car. I can't wait until Monday rolls around so I can get the ball rolling.

The fuel sensor only measures ethanol content and does not provide additional fuel volume. The volume "limits" seem to vary car to car, so you may require a flash either way.

A reflash is part of running the flex-fuel kit.

Exactly. Fuel pressure is controlled by the fuel pressure regulator, not by the ECU. It's a true FlexFuel setup.

I didn't know that the FF kit also came with a flash. If so then you shouldn't have an issue with OL fueling. It seems like they have adjusted it moreso with their latest flash to keep trims closer to zero. |
