No worries. BTW, would love to meet up to see how the dinan feels. I am considering this as well! You can get a feel for the V2 should you want to as it is installed on my car but a decent tune, no codes AND warranty behind it sounds good right now... Let me know if you make an appointment at Mopac. They are 5mins from my place. The other thing I did like at this dyno was in to was in-ground. My car is lowered so it was simple. Just drive in, no ramps etc. so no scraping or worries.
Cheers man and enjoy the tune. (Weather permitting!) |

The only drawback for people like me is that I don't have a factory oil cooler And BMW is NOT putting one in my car
With this in mind, for warranty, i need to spend for the oil cooler as well... That adds up in a hurry! But the long run, I'm looking at the oil cooler upgrade anyways but wording does concern me. If you read the Dinan website, it states No warranty applies if vehicle is NOT equipped with a factory or Dinan oil cooler This limits me to either a factory or dinan oil cooler and if i'm paying, may as well go for the dinan one... Food for thought! |

Clearly theres a huge misconception on here on what it means to dyno a car. People are throwing out ballpark numbers that are completely meaningless. What if the Dyno is done on a mustang Dyno then 305 or even 310 wheel would be extremely high given the baseline dyno for a stock 335i on a mustang dyno is in the 240-250 whp range. Once again: different Dyno different day. Unless we get the cars stock numbers on the SAME dyno, I'll still be skeptical of the results the Original poster puts up.

While I concur with the first part of the quote (above), it's obvious that Orb isn't going to be providing numbers for his stock car (pre-flash). The best we can hope for is one or more other 335 owners to join Orb at the dyno and compare their cars as equipped (hopefully all with the same transmissions). If we're real lucky we'll see a completely stock dyno, a Vishnu tune dyno and the Dinan dyno.

There is lot of place to go fast and do it safely and all within 20 minutes of downtown.....like Seymour Mountain in the summer were you will not see a single car except me of course about 3:30 every other day and you might see a blue 02 M3 behind me as well. Orb |

sweet. can't wait to see the results. make sure you ask them what a stock 335 dynos on their dyno, so we have some kind of baseline.... even if it isn't 100% accurate.
