DYNO Results
Is there a thread dedicated to the different tunes and dyno results somewhere? I searched, but came up with nothing. I would like to see real world numbers from actual customers instead of inflated numbers from the manufacturers. I got my JBD back from Terry last week. I raced someone I used to beat with the JBD and now we are tied. No changes to his car at all. So it is now worse than before. I dynod my car and got stock numbers, so I am assuming the car is fine. I would like to see what other people are getting as joe_planet found an issue with his EcoTune tune when he went to the dyno. The only info I can remember is as follows:
joe_planet - EcoTune - 277rwhp and 436rwtq Me - JBD - 235rwhp and 386rwtq Puerto Rican 335d - RENNtech - 306rwhp Concentric (sp?) - Evolve - Baseline 327rwhp Post em if ya got em!! |

If this thread happens we have to be careful to correct the numbers or standardize somehow since some of the dynos ive seen pop up on here have "corrected" numbers to show flywheel power/tq and some do it the right way and show power/tq at the wheels.

I agree. The owner of the Mustang dyno told me to add 12% to equal a DynoJet dyno, but if I did that it would have been 263.2rwhp and 432.3rwtq. That's stock crank hp for the 335d. I just left it as it came off of the machine.

yeah especially with a mustang dyno you really cant compare them. It has so much to do with the setup on those dynos that one shop vs another could be a big difference.

Evolve 300rwhp at 105 degrees F. Dyno'd at the Shelby Tuning Shop in Las Vegas Nevada during the heat wave. Was happy with the results.

wow Vrieman you lost around 7 whp with that heat not to bad.
I dynoed my car OEM and cranked 230 whp then we added the new version of RENNtech flash and we clocked 306 whp later two days later we mounted the WAGNER IC and we clocked 312 whp mind you the differance in weather both dynos were ran at around 7pm the first temp was 70-77degrees and wet, the second dyno was 90 degrees and hot and humid. NO!! amigos these guys didnt know how to get torque on Diesels its their first one, but i promise you i will get off my ass to get it done!!

Puerto Rican 335d - He may have lost closer to 25rwhp if he has the same Evolve tune that a coupe other people have. I'd be interested to see how much the temp affects the hp on the 335d. |

I was quite surprised with all the heat. I was running additive at that time, but still very happy.
