Good God, 600, 700, 800 a month to lease a car let alone a 3 series is ludicrous.. I mean Id rather put that kinda money towards my mortgage.
I could never stomach spending 55k+ on a car that you can get 2 years old w/low mileage for like 30k.. I mean the 335is E92 is a beautiful car just couldn't swallow that pill.

I wouldn't lease this car for 800 / mo either. Part of the reason I am considering this is to sell my m3 to have more cash on hand for a heavy downpayment on my first home. A lease note of 600 something would be less than I am paying now, place more cash in my pocket by a very substantial amount, decrease my operating costs, and have a better dd with dct.

What I did was get quotes from leasing companies, pm me if you want names, and then I called local dealers and asked if they could match the quote I got. Both places I talked to were willing to do so.

Putting $3750 down really helps lower the payment. You might want to ask about the "multiple security deposit" program that lowers the money factor. I would never put money down on a lease. If you total the car you don't get any of the money back. Take the money you would have put down and just divide it up over the lease.

im not planning on it, thanks guys
i am still deciding whether this is what I want to do or not. i am also strongly considering a 2011 dct 135i to keep costs down.....i love the lightweight feeling of this car, the only negative is the n55. but i feel that eventually it will be developed like the n54, but maybe not make quite as much power.

Sell your m3 if you own it, and use that to buy a used n54 car in cash. No offense but something just doesn't sound right here, you sound like you are getting in over your head.

This idea came about because I am now looking to purchase a home to take advantage of some incentives offered to me by my company. As a result, the price ranges and details of what type of home were considered. At this point, I have decided to spend a little more on the property, and would like to decrease my automotive (and other) operating costs in order to be able to continue to save and invest at the same rate as I currently do. My criteria for a car are some sort of DCT, RWD and turbocharged. Therefore, the 135i (my best friend had a tuned 2009 6mt which we both loved) came to mind. I checked the prices of 2011 DCT 135i and they fit what I am looking for in almost all ways. So now, my main focus has swapped to 2011 135i with DCT as it seems to be the best comprimise for me. Its been a hectic week Hope this clears some stuff up. Thank you all for your advice

135i sounds like a way better option for your requirements. Hope it works out well for you. I love mine

You guys don't know how lucky you have it down there. A 335is is over 1200 a month to lease in Canada with nothing Down. Comparatively, a well speced m3 is almost 2k.

Made a ton of financial sense. I didn't realize the 135 had dct now until recently, and as such, was the perfect fit for me. I really wanted those options and color combo, so I had to do it

thinking of leasing a new 2013 335is
hello everyone, i'm new to the board ( in the past i've only dreamed of sharing and posting questions with the amazing group of members here, the majority being very helpful). Anyways, I'm currently in the market for a new car, and this will be a lease.
Today i talked to a sales manager that has helped my family in the past with their car selection. so with that in mind, i received a quote* today from him with some incentives because of the lease program a family member is currently on. The vehicle inquiry design/msrp is.. 335is Cv mineral white metallic black dakota convenience pack premium pack prem sound pack 19'' 313 wheels DCT heated front seats navi bmw apps dest. charge ----all totaling to 69,525 the lease would include: 12k mi/yr for 36 months $5k down ( now considering no down since everyone is saying dont put money down on a lease ) for $610.21 + CALI TAX and he gave me a monthly price of $665.00 on ridewithg.c0m it stated 2013 BMW 335is Convertible 36 Month – Residual 62% of MSRP – .00127 Base Rate (dont really know how to do the calculations) do you think i could get the monthly payments lower than the offer? any comment would be high appreciated. Thank you for reading my post. - tmdals Last edited by tmdals0213; 06-25-2013 at 05:23 AM.. Reason: extra info |
