Someone told me that Mr Kipling was responsible for it?

Mind you, he does make exceedingly good quakes.

Paul, felt it in East Yorks. as well - bloody scary. Never experienced anything like that before. The bed was shaking quite violently and a load of stuff off my dressing table fell over. Looked outside and loads of the neighbours were up looking puzzled. Obviously had to check 'me car'

Shit - if only the earth could move like that more often

My wife just reminded me that we were woken up by this last night as well.

I was half asleep but my wife thought the kids had been in the room running about.

Lot's of other people in the Midlands seem to have felt it too.

I think the earthquake was caused by lots of mapped 335D's stretching the tarmac with thier massive torque

Was thier a recent meet in New York ?

I did not feel sweet FA. I was wide awake as i was at work. My brother felt it qite bad in Bedfordshire.

I was in my work van at the time listening to the radio. There was a feature on about old songs from one year and what happened in that year.. Loads of people were ringing in about the quake. I thought it was apart of the feature and that it happened years ago. Was only when i sp[oke to my mother this morning at 11am that she told me there was a quake, i said i had heard on the radio but they mentioned 1986 so i thought it was all apart of the radio feature. Didnt realise it was real-time when i heard on the radio.

Bah! That was nothing compared to the 7.1 Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989 in California. Last night's felt less than what it's like to stand in the middle of Tower Bridge as a lorry drives by (which, by the way, is a really weird experience in and of itself).

They put me up in the haunted room last night so any bed shaking was firmly IGNORED...

bastid ghost still managed to give me a "wakeup call" on the phone though... I complained and they checked and NO call was set, not staying in that one again !
