FWIW, my Circuit Werks kit doesn't touch the OEM brace. The installer didn't use the OEM mount that comes off the transmission though. He used one of the bolt holes on the transmission ( 2 bolt holes mount the OEM hanger to trans) but used his own mount. Not sure if this causes the pipe to run a little higher through the tunnel.

bolt or clamp - In your opinion, is one better than the other?

I know that I would have to give up the Bohl dp as it bolts to the current mid-pipe. But the profi clamp setup bolts on to where the DPF attached, correct? So it is from there back that is clamp and not bolt?

I have got to do something before my SCR begins to clog (or so it seems), just tough to make the decision to uninstall what has already been installed.

In your case I'd probably go with an option that allowed me to keep the downpipe in place. The profi setup has down and mid pipe as one piece. I can't say which is better, I don't see anything wrong with clamps but I'd imagine bolted setups are more secure.

The tunnel brace will fit but my mechanic recommended against it since it touches, he said it would most likely rattle. Just waiting on Iaknown's next product

Sounds great! Really considering getting this from them to do the full delete.

Have you gotten the brace and any final fitment update or issues?

Garage List
They quoted me $1,025 to Ohio. But they won't ship one minus the downpipe, which I have already purchased. Also, theirs doesn't include a catalyst.

Car was recently totaled, so if anyone is local you can get my exhaust and DDD from copart!

again to the guys wanting to mix and match, this system will NOT work with bohl, buzzken downpipes. Profidiesel made a one piece downpipe/midpipe as shown in the photos.

That is too bad. Seems like you were getting your car where you wanted it.

profi exhaust

I purchased the profi setup, looks and built great. The welds are really good and tight. I had 2 small issues so far. My downpipe came with only 1 bung for the 02, bob at BPC said i need the EGT sensor bung so i'm welding that i. Very easily fixed. The down pipes first mount seems to not line up with the tranny mount. otherwise i love this system and very happy as there's not to many option for or 335d's. the profi guys have been very helpfull. bpc stg2+ with meth

profi

the other pipe is a down pipe i purchased from buzzken for a custom exhaust I was planning on doing. Glad i found profi saved a ton of money. The Euro version setup of our exhaust looks to be a lil different but made out of really good stainless steel/ mandrel bends and really good tig welds. Just have to figure out the mounting.

Have you completed the install yet? I'm very interested in this exhaust, but I don't have a welder so wondering how much fabrication is actually needed to make the system work.

No I haven't yet, I'm waiting on my ECU back from BPC. So far I just see a exhaust temperature bung and maybe 1 mount. But I will take pics and update everything I've done. The exhaust is definitely well built and nice... just a few tweaks that see.

Well mounted the complete pro fi exhaust today... all I can say is wow I really like it.. fit was great. The rear mufflers use the stock hangers and mounts but everything lined up and was tight. Getting the down pipe clamp on with the new gasket took some time. Putting the motor mount and brace back on was a pain. I will be posting pics tomorrow.. now for the damn Swirl ports CBU grrrrr
