Traded in the e90, got an M3.

Had no intentions on buying a car today, but oh well..

Drove past the dealership today and there was an e92 that caught my eye.

2008 M3. 32000 miles. Still under BMW warranty and service until 10/12. Bought an extended 3 year warranty, service for 2 yrs, and tire and wheel protection for 5 yrs. Road side assistance ect ect...

Clean carfax, no accidents reported. I may wrap it in matte white.

Not sure what package it has, this is my third E9X car, the first without navigation. Heated seats...thats pretty much it. 6 speed car. Carbon roof. Its a drivers car, and that it does.

Seems like the previous owner powder coated the wheels. It was priced very accordingly.

Traded in this

Did you pick this up at the dealership in Teterboro? 32k miles $41.5? Wondering because I inquired about this car.....in the same boat but my commuting can not justify a v8. I heard bad things about this dealership like accident cars, damaged cars with clean carfax....Hopefully your M is good (maybe its not the same car?) I want to hear about your experience there, PM me or respond on here, Im considering another car possibly from them. Thanks

im sure he checked the carfax before shelling out the dough lol. if a dealership is fooling the carfox, thats fugged up. op by zcp, you mean the competition package?, that was introduced on newer models i believe. you lucked out with that carbon roof, thats a pretty penny and MUCH better than that stupid heavy sunroof on other m's and something all of us non m owners deal with. id say the only option it doesnt have is nav, maybe extended leather,etc.. they come pretty much well equipped. a true drivers car doesnt have nav, and i will fight anyone who says otherwise lol. its an M3 guy, go out and eat some civics!

It was at Teterboro according to the carfax. I paid 36k for it at a different dealership, they give discounts to Police/ Law enforcement. It looks like the right rear quarter panel was replaced, and the front bumper has a fresh coat of paint as well.I had a few BMW guys look at it and they all said it was minor with no damage to the original suspension. Even an S/A at park Ave said it looked good and to bring it in for service asap. They dealership let me take the car by myself for a good 30 mins, took her up and down rt.80, though hackensack, car felt great. Clean carfax. I didn't buy it to be a garage queen. Part of the reason I like it so much is the bare bones feeling, no navigation, 6 speed, and carbon roof. I may throw a cage in it and track the hell out of it.

That is a great price.....unfortunately there was pretty substantial work done to it. The first owner obviously had enough cash for the car and im sure had no problem shelling out for work like that. I personally would never get into a car that had panels replaced like that nor would I buy any BMW without a CPO or extended BMW warranty, but if your intentions are building a track car (which most dont do with these amazing cars) then it really doesnt matter i guess. Damn....now I know I can not pay under 40k for a non-accident or problem free M3. Carfax is pretty much good for nothing but the bare-bones basic shit now I guess huh? Good luck with this one man!

Thanks. At the end of the day, its just metal. Fancy expensive metal that I'm going to tinker with. If i bang it up, ill know it wasn't prefect to begin with, after all, its just a car.

How can a car have a rear quarter panel replaced and show up as clean on carfax? A rear quarter panel is a huge amount of work for these cars
Just curious about how the system works.

Great buy OP

Easy. Single car accident. Dont report it to the police. Pay cash at the body shop.

Thanks. Will have some more pics tomorrow.
