the warranty for my 07 e92 335 is about to run out? i took a appointment on Monday to fix some smaller issues before it is too late.
Im also going to ask them to check the engine,Turbos and transmission.
Any advice what else sould they be looking for?

My SA mentioned that the windshield moldings tend to start to crack in some cases. If they look like they're drying out, have them look. Also, the bottom trim on my rear windshield was sliding off with finger pressure. If that's the case for you, they have a replacement that's attached with adhesive. Other than that, fluids is about it that I can think of. Edit: microfilter.

Are you talking about the extended warranty? Because I can't see how an '07 could fall under 4 yr./50k.....my extended warranty will run out in Nov.

I had my reasons to get it, but here we go again. I had the tire warranty for 5 years, cost me $390, and nothing ever happened. Now the car has been 100% reliable since 4/10, and I've had it covered under the 7/100, nothing needed.

Find a good local shop in your regional forum.
Apart from getting a check-up from BMW you cannot do anything else.
HPFP and some other issue with 335i are already covered by BMW for long time, so you shd be good.

As some ppl say, every month keep some money aside for repairs, just in case you need any.
Other option is sell your car and buy a newer model, again you will be spending more money.

In my case, after my extended warranty expires, I proactively plan to replace the water pump/tstat from a good local shop. Rest is in BMW's computer's hands.

Any car which is 5-6 year old needs maintenance, BMW being little expensive. But thats the price you pay for great looking, great handling and fun to drive car.

Ahh, yeah, CPO only covers you on drivetrain issues, and they're stingy on those anyway. Unfortunately you won't get any of the things I suggested out of them

If you're affiliated with the military at all try the extended warranty coverage provided by USAA. Its nice. I've got one for my 335xi. They have outstanding customer service and the prices are about industry average which means well below what you'd get from a dealership. It also has no deductible and covers everything but the wear parts and cosmetic items. The only caveat to USAA is that its only for current or prior US military personnel.

The lowest I've ever found for a BMW was about $1000-1100 per year of coverage. I've seen as high as $1800 from some places. My current 2yr/24,000 ran me $2250.

Its true that you might never need the extended insurance, but if something does go wrong it usually pays for itself rather quickly. The insurance game is purely a numbers racket. Profit from customers have to be more than the payouts made by the insurance company. They wouldn't offer it unless they thought they were on the better side of the odds. But when they do have to pay the benefit to you is peace of mind that all costs "should" be covered. They might still try to pull a fast one if the company isn't reputable.

Seals are exempted from CPO warranty coverage.

I opted out of extended warranty for this reason. Failure rate between 50-100k/6yr is much less than failure rate between 100-150k/8yrs.

So for that reason , save your money and use it to pay for repairs later on.

I just did a quote off of USAA's site for an extended warranty

Comprehensive Protection Plan 60 months from purchase date or 75,000 miles on odometer for $2,132.84.

Definitely check them out if you are able to.

Get all the gaskets checked they have a tendency to leak all the time. AC evaporator can leak over time. The mechatronic sleeve issues are common. My suggestion is find a good independent mechanic after the warranty has expired.

I got the extended warranty with my 06 330xi back in January and it is the bomb!!!! All I pay is $50 everytime something goes wrong. I just got it out the shop after like 9 days cuz my CCC mod went out. Still it only cost me a cool $50 so I ain't mad
