Question on Half-shaft Upgrade for E90 AT
Can anyone on the forum direct me to a reputable shop that either sells an upgrade set of half-shaft for a 2010 E90 AT or would upgrade an existing half-shaft?
I had my half-shaft shipped to DSS from LTMW, but unfortunately after DSS disassembled the half-shaft they said it was different and they aren't able to upgrade it (don't have the parts, etc). Does anyone have any additional info? Feedback is appreciated. Thanks! |

While I'm at it, does anyone have any information on an oil pan baffle for the E90 as well? Last I heard was E92Fan had something custom made and installed, but no updates since then.
Also, anyone know a shop selling a differential housing cover that fits the AT housing (small) for a 2010 E90 or can custom make one? VAC's only fit the MT housing (large). Last edited by jyeah; 12-12-2012 at 01:45 AM.. |

Well, of course this is going to cost more, but what about converting to the larger diff housing and axles? This would take care of those problems.
As far as a baffle goes, we need VAC to make a run of them. I am going to make one custom for a customer, but it requires me having the car for a few days to ensure it fits properly. VAC baffles are very nice, and much easier than custom fab!

I thought about it, but that would require a whole sub-frame conversion. And I think there are other issues associated with it as well.
I talked with VAC a while back about the baffle, but apparently they think there's not enough interest to warrant making the baffles. Are oil pans universal? If the one you fabricate works for your customer, would I be able to order another one from you? Thanks. |
