Keep Looking?

Hi everyone, first post on here. Started a look for 09-10 335i xdrive sedan, w/ manual, some good options (mainly sport seats, nav, and cold weather pack), and less than 70k miles. I realize this is a tough find, but one popped up recently. Had everything I was looking for, and was a decent price. It was all good until I looked at it and saw the paint.

My thoughts are that while some of it could buff out, a good amount of it would require a respray. Therefore, I'm thinking the best option is to keep waiting for another one that is less abused cosmetically. Any thoughts here on the paint repair or the search?

That's too high for one with paint like that.
Spend some time in the FS section here. I think you'd really like this one. He's had it for sale for a while. Clean, maintained by BMW, rare manual transmission.

Nice car, but I'd prefer to find something on the west coast. Also wanting AWD to help put down modified power in the wet. Getting tired of the lack of traction with 300+ hp FWD cars, but at least my foot is well tuned now .

I'm just gonna keep watching the searches I have saved. Hopefully see something else in the near future.

I would try and talk him down on price, you can always have it resprayed or wrap the roof in black

Well, the car's been up for a while now, and he has at least done the 60k service and water pump now. I'm thinking I'll try talking to him again and see if he is negotiable on the price.

I chatted with an auto body shop about repair costs, and got picture based estimate in the range of 1.5-2k. Any thoughts on a more reasonable price? I was thinking of offering 18.5k.

OP, Talk him down on the price and consult with some detailer and ask if these scratches are fixable by wet sanding
