Rolex Submariner feeler

I tossing around the idea to sell my submariner. I bought it in 1994 and have worn it maybe 10 times in the last year

I'm not sure what the going rate is on a used Rolex, on ebay the prices are all over the place.

wondering if anyone knows a place to sell it, other than a dealer or if anyone here might be interested.

I have the original box and papers, hologram etc..

I'll post pictures ASAP

Go over to watchuseek and/or timezone and do some searches. You'll also want to check out the TZ scale for rating it's condition. That plus your serial number should allow you to find out what others are selling similar watches for.

Luckily Rolex watches hold their value better than most, just don't expect to make any money on it.. Times are still tough, so expect a few low-ball offers... but you still should get a decent ammount for it.

Do you have the box/papers/hang tags? Lots of serious buyers are going to want to see this stuff to help authenticate it.

Regardless, good luck!

Yes there is.

I wish I could remember that link that was posted for the vigilante superhero forum.

That was awesome!

My advice - hold on to it. Even if you just keep it in your safe or something for like 10 years...

My prediction:
The new ceramic sub has bigger everything (case, dial, hands, etc.), hence taking away from the classic look.

The 16610 will remain the classic date sub. There are already speculators buying the last of stock, predicting a price hike.

I think, either sell the watch now, if prices have started to go up (increased demand already) or monitor the situation.

If not, just keep it stowed away. I strongly doubt it will go down in value over time, so unless you're tight on cash, hold on to it and see how the situation develops.
