E92 323i -> 325i ECU Software upgrade?

Hey All,

Just wondering if anyone has found a way to get the ECU Software upgraded on the E92 323i's. As we all know they are a de-tuned 325i.......

regards
Rod.

she probably isn't all that interesting in tearing up the streets... she most likely just wants to look good and feel comfortable

but congrats on that, it's a nice car...

I know people who have had this done in HK, but that was due to them being good friends with the BMW mechanics who simply installed the 325i ECU software for them.
Not sure how easy it will be to do in AUS, unless you know one of the mechanics at the dealership.
Noting that doing this can potentially void your warranty under some (extreme) circumstances..

Software ain't enough

My last car was a 2006 E90 323i which is, as you know, a 325i engine with different software and a different inlet manifold.

A relative works for BMW and upgraded the software which ended up not making an improvement at all. In fact, it was a little less powerful because the software expects to have the different inlet manifold which helps with the torque.

So unless you plan to upgrade the physical side of the engine difference between the 323 and the 325, don't bother - the software doesn't make a difference.
