91 0% ethanol vs, 94 10% ethanol
What do you guys think is better to run... 91 is Shell nitrogen enriched, 94 is Sunoco...
Personally have a feeling that 91 no ethanol is better for our HPFP as I've read somewhere that ethanol in gas might be the cause of most HPFP failures.. |

less ethanol = better but lower octane = lower power levels.

I was running Shell Nitrogen enriched. Noticed my MPH went up when I switched over to 76. And I am talking about a good 1mph in the qtr mile. My GF accidentally put some Shell back in my car. I will retest to confirm my suspicions.

I run the 94 Sunoco all the time as I find its great gas. I think mileage suffers a little but its hard for me to run 91 when I can run 94 from the pump for only pennies more.

I was wondering the same thing, too!!
I am running with 91 Shell cause I am not sure if 10% ethanol makes REAL 94????

I used to run Sunoco 94 10% ethanol but ever since I heard that in the long run HPFP suffers from ethanol I switched to the cleanest 91 available, 0% ethanol, nitrogen enriched shell fuel...if I need more power from fuel I'll put race gas in..
Guess my main concern is not killing my HPFP because of minor power added from not so clean 94 |
