KWV2s installed - Active Steering, DSC, and Brake warning lights up and wont go away
I've installed the KW V2s on my car and can't seem to get rid of the warning lights which lights up on the dash. I read the manual that the lights should go away after a few miles/kms on driving once the computer learns the changes but my warning lights just wont go away.
When I turn the car off and power on, imediately I get the A/S warning light. Then the DSC and Brake warning lights (all yellow) comes on when I drive off after a few seconds. I haven't done my alignment yet as I wanted the car to settle a bit first. Could this be due to an alignment problem? Appreciate any feedback on this and if its common? Also A/S is not working now and the steering is very "long" compared to normal.

You're suppose to get an alignment every time you alter the height of the car because your camber will be off, whether it be coilover or springs. Drive around for a week or so and let everything settle, and get an alignment after that.

Yes it ended up being one of the active steering sensor wires which was knocked off the socket by the installer. Took it to the dealer to diagnose, and when he plugged in the computer, it read "Digress" for some of the settings for the steering angle readings.
Also did an alignment there and with A/S, the steering angle has to be re-initialized with each alignment. Moral of the story, with AS, alignment is best done at the dealer where they can reinitialize the AS.

A lot of people have warning lights after installing their suspension... Alignment usually takes care of it.

After the pains of getting my sick ride sorted out after the KWV2 install, its all nice and healthy again. Here are the pics of my ride after the KWs. I opted for milder lowering settings for practical reasons..
Fronts, 10mm lower than highest KW recommended height range. Rears, 5mm lower than highest recommended height range. Rear view of the ride height Front view

By the way, I read a Bilstein PSS10 review (from Alpina_B3_Lux) and he had the same problems/error codes as you had after lowering the car. Apparently the car needed to be reprogrammed by the dealer for the new lower height, if you have Active Steering. |

I just hope I don't get that problem again when I throw out the Bilstein in a few weeks for an Öhlins suspension... Alpina_B3_Lux
