M-Sport or Standard LCI front bumper
Hi All,
The other day I had the pleasure of an 18-wheeler shooting a hubcap in my direction. I just saw him run it over and then it heading right at me. The shop is going to replace the bumper and a friend suggested I put the M-Sport bumper on instead of the original. What does everyone think? I am split on the looks since I have had mine for a year now. I don't think it will cost much more but I worry about re-sale value since the car will only have the M-Sport front bumper with the Standard sport package. (ie. no M-Sport rear bumper, rims, door sills, foot pedals, shift knob, brake lever or steering wheel.) Please let me hear your thoughts. Thanks! |

Are you paying for it? If not M-Tech all the way but if you're paying for it and is too expensive for your budget, then just get the standard.

M-tech. I just went from the pre-lci stock body to the OEM m-tech and its a new car honestly. I love it now. I got the full kit, but just the front won't look out of place or anything and it really gives the car an aggressive yet still subtle and classy look IMO. No negatives at all since its OEM. Do it and enjoy! For the rest of time you will be able to trade a mtech bumper for a stock bumper + cash. Win Win!

For an LCI E92/E93 DEFINITELY go M-Sport front bumper. What BMW did to that front bumper is a sin, since the old one looked so good.

Hey thanks for all the replies!
I talked to the shop and they told me it would be $2-3K to do the switch since a ton of other parts need to change. At first I thought it was just the bumper (insurance paid) and grills (paid by me) but then I found that the radiator cowling and under panel need to change too. I still don't get the $2-3K price quoted but I can see it was more parts than I first thought. I have to try and get a hard quote before I can decide. Thanks all |

Does anyone have an idea what parts are needed for the conversion? The shop is saying $2-3K more than the $1500 the bumper is already going to cost. I just can't see that being correct!
So far this is the only thing I found. OEM BMW E92/93 LCI Front M Sport Bumper Kit |
