Revised stage 1 mapping should be out sometime next week with a bit of a power bump. Purchasing a FMIC to run out stage 1+FMIC mapping will certainly get you a good bit of added power.

For anyone with misfirest please do contact us so we may help you fix them.

Misfires are usually a mechanical issue that needs to be taken care of via a sprucing of the ignition system. Otherwise power must be reduced to a level the ailing ignition system can handle. This can be completed by running the drive or sport mapping. We would rather help everyone fix the ignition system than run a less powerful map.

Our revised mapping and new stage 1+FMIC will add power.

Guess I'll have to call a different dealership lol...
I think there's a TSB about intake cleaning, maybe you can point your SA to it. Let me know what happens with that and the gas though!

Stage 1 and Stage 2 will be revise to be smoother while adding more power. Stage 2+FMIC will be revised to be smoother. Stage 1+FMIC will be all new.

Race mapping is something I am targeting to be out by the end of March in BETA form. This will be for use with "pump" race fuel and/or those with meth. We will not have a safety mechanism built in for flow failures, however the timing being run is not as aggressive as other tunes out there.

Cheers,
Rob

Have you explored any ideas of running e85 or a mix of e85 and pump 93 octane on the n54?

Been enjoying my cobb for a couple months now and i was wondering if cobb could make a N/A(naturally assperated) map to be added alongside valet and stage 0 maps. i only wonder because I (I'm sure im not alone) make long distance trips on the highway and am not always looking to get the max performance out of the car. A N/A map will help increase milage during a long tedious drive. just some food for thought otherwise Cobb u have a VERY VERY satisfied customer.

Plenty of people are doing that to good results. 33% E85, 67% pump.

I just purchased my 335i with an aftermarket FMIC in December, pulled the trigger on the Cobb AccessPort last month, now a new stage 1 FMIC map! Life is good!

Boo to Arizona crappy gas though.

I'd dig into what changes they made for the E85 on other platforms and when ATR comes out, tweak the OTS maps on a dyno little by little until the car tells you to back it off... IF they don't come out with an OTS E85 map.

-edit I personally know someone running the 2:1 mix and made some impressive power on the stage 1 aggressive map.

I was under the assumption that the stage 2+ maps would be smoother and have more power. I am a little upset that they will not. I was hoping to get the XI into the 11's

Likely not. That is the equivalent of 94 octane.

LOL yeah I know... I had actually e-mailed Rob prior to posting up here and he got back to me after you had replied... so I just wanted to put up his official recommendations for others who were wondering. =P But yes, you were absolutely right.
