Dealer service caused misfire?

Brought my car in for the free oil change and front brakes, dealer highly recommended the fuel injector cleaning and i decided to let them do it and now i get misfire on cylinder #3.

Now the misfire only happens at high boost ~17psi COBB Stg1+ aggressive while the STG1+ drive ~15psi is ok.

I was about to swap a coil etc to test but was wondering if anyone ever had issues with the fuel injector cleaning before?

What exactly is their 'fuel injector cleaning'? Did they just dump in a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank? If so, I'd fill up on some fresh gas and see if that helps.

supposedly they tied directly into the fuel injection system and did their cleaning. I have run several tanks of gas in the mean time. I will try to get the coil changed today and see if that helps.

Actually the misfire came back on cylinders 3 and 4 so I am bringing it back to the dealer.

We don't run fuel injection cleaner through direct injection systems for this exact reason. Don't be surprised if you get some fuel injectors.

They will probably start with plugs, and the problem may still persist.

how much will replacing the injectors cost? I sincerely believe BMW should cover the cost but I just want to know how much it could be...

I'm not sure off the top of my head, but I think new injectors are running a couple hundred bucks a pop.

It's going to be hard to connect the 'cleaning service' to misfires. You're about to learn a lot about what kind of dealership you have. BTW, how much was the cleaning service?

Last vehicle I had that had a cleaning service done by a shade tree shop they used seafoam in the gas tank. Killed 5 of the 6 injectors and had permanent high pressure faults afterwards. Had to drain the fuel tank.

I'm trying to mentally block the cost out. I think it was $300.
