Coolant Low
Hey guys, just got a coolant low warning and I pulled over into a super cheap auto.
I'm trying to find something that I can use, reading lots of contradicting info online. I've found Nulon Blue http://www.nulon.com.au/products/Coo...trated_Coolant Says it's ok for BMW's Can anyone help out while I'm here please. Cheers

Thanks DRJ, I was at the counter ready to buy the blue stuff, should I fill it as highly as I can with demineralised water? Or just a bit to stop the warning.
Ill go into my local BMW and grab some coolant this week. Last edited by EB89; 12-15-2015 at 10:42 PM.. |

Ill have to check visually later when my engine is cool if it is low, my next service date in July 2016, but I guess the car is 4 years old so maybe its just naturally evaporated over that time?

The mechanic said it was leaking but I hadnt noticed (must of been minor), it was the low coolant on the dash that triggered me to notice and then have it checked.

What did it cost you to have the pump replaced?
Ill keep an eye on it, I haven't seen any leaks on the ground.

Ran into the low coolant problem some months ago which turned out to be the coolant tank's plastic bleeder screw leaking.
Replaced bleeder screw and flushed coolant with Nulon Blue 50/50 with distilled water. |

I bought the same one plus the blue one as well. Does anyone know what is the difference between the green and blue one ? I also bought 1L of demineralised water from one of the petrol stations. |

I had a look and the water level was on the max level indicator, so I don't know.
It was weird when I started opening it water was gushing out lower down on the resivour. |
