...further your knowledge on whatever it is you're looking for? Besides listing your experience and qualifications, I'm pretty sure you're just gonna be writing something along that line in one form or another.

FWIW there is no point in referring to yourself on your own resume. It's redundant. Additionally, your objective should not be to seek anything. It should be to obtain, establish, etc.

As for the rest of your sentence, you haven't posted enough info for anyone to genuinely help you

Delete the first 5 words your starting with, don't assume that the person reading this is an idiot.

Edit, I'll start reading other responses before showing that I'm an idiot.... ^^^ BTM got it.

at some responses. but in all seriousness, this sentence will either be on my resume or my cover letter. all i can think of is the most basic on the lines of "im seeking the internship to further my knowledge...".

the internship is for bmw na. the guy trying to get me in told me last week a spot finally opened and to submit my papers. hopefully i can get the part time open now or full time during the summer.

and jay wtf is up with your avatar of skinny

Good luck with that! Sounds like a cool job.
But what exactly is the position? This could help develop a much more specific objective than just wanting to learn more.

Professional career resume's do not require an objective. Go back to school and take communication skills management, advanced communication management, and communication and writing skills.

I'll give it a shot...

I'm seeking an internship to assist in acquiring the skills and experience I'll need to further my career. This internship will allow me to build on teamwork and networking that will be critical in as I grow with this company.

Don't be afraid to use Buzz words but be careful not to over user them and remember that who ever reads this will want to believe what you are saying.

If you are interning, you dont have a career, so you have nothing to further, so technically, your sentence no makeo senso.

Unless you are 20, never worked for a company before, dont yet have a career...

Moving from one paying job to a better paying job would be furthering ones career. Interning in an industry that you havent worked in would be more like getting a foot in the door.
